only just found this thread its a great idea, aint played in a year and looking for a nice way to come back in. can i ask what is generally the skill level and intensity?

its a fantastic idea by the way, has it been popular? whats sportsco like?
Sportsco is fine, the court isn't massive, but decent quality baskets and floor apart from a couple of deadspots.
Skill level varies a bit, like the fitness level. If you can run around and pass/dribble you will be fine. It's not crazy competitive so nobody cares about skill.

As Laf said, skill and fitness level varies quite a bit, but everyone should get something out of it. It's been really popular since it started pretty much, but in the last two weeks we've struggled a little for numbers, so it would be great if you (and anyone else interested) could make it down on Sunday.

Yeah, you and aiden were killing me with all that dribbling, could barely keep up, and then you'd just pull up and shoot
    Looking forward to Friday!

hey I've just move into churchtown, dublin 14.
I didnt play for last 2 years, but really want to get back into game.
Is there any club around dundrum or anybody playing?

I'm not too sure about it but nialo (pm him I'd say) usually knows all the info on teams. If you fancy easing yourself back in gently you should come along on Sunday for the hour. :)

Hi, do you still need (one more) people for today 7PM at DCU?

  • Registered Users Posts: 610 ✭✭✭nialo

Churchtown has a few options.. templeogue has a club based in terenure, they have from div 5 all the way to div 1 so you would find somewhere to fit in.. UCD marian is the other option based out of UCD. they have a few teams as well but are harder to get on as they also have students playing with them.. if your driving they are both an option. terenure is probbaly closer and easier to get to if your not..

Also the season is over at the moment so you wont get any teams training till about mid august, early sept. So join in with the few pick up sessions that are going on at the moment. tuesday in the arena, wednesday in ifsc, thursday in portmarnock area i think, fridays in DCU and sundays in sportsoco...
