They're becoming a real problem in Ireland again.

I heard it's due to recently banned chemicals being removed from cleaning products.

    Introduce some natural predators
Natural enemies of bed bugs include the masked hunter (also known as "masked bed bug hunter"),[54] cockroaches,[55] ants, spiders (particularly Thanatus flavidus), mites and centipedes. The Pharaoh ant's (Monomorium pharaonis) venom is lethal to bed bugs. Biological pest control is not very practical for eliminating bed bugs from human dwellings.[11]

    Fool proof.

I must say my road bike is looking particularily well. I just got the Brooks saddle and bar tape put on it today.

All I need now is the leather saddle bag and I'm all sorted.

No no, Carradice is the only way to go for the saddle bag, size dependent on distance planned.

The saddle bag I'm looking at is something like this

I use the tourer for the bigger stuff.

Anyone have a bike carrier for a saloon car / ancient audi A4 (like this one) that I could borrow for a week? We're heading down to Wicklow for a week and I'd like to do a few family cycles / fuel my addiction. :)

Was up in Belfast with work and managed to take a detour to Slane Cycles.
    Man that place is tiny!

Where are you based and when do you need it? I've this if you want to borrow it, assuming it's soon and not anytime in September!

    Am based normally around Terenure/Rathfarnham.

That looks perfect. I'd be looking for it this weekend if that suits? I'm based in skerries but the lad who sits beside me in work is out your way. I could probably arrange something with him. On the phone now but I'll drop you a PM in the morning. Thanks a lot!

Yeah this weekend is fine, no problem at all. It's unopened since I got it, so I don't know if there's much involved in putting it together, but I'm sure you'll be able to tell me that when you're finished with it!

Lemag, did I see somewhere that you have a Canyon? For as long as I have been looking, I have yet to see another one in Cork.

    Which one do you have?

I'm living in Carrigaline as well and haven't seen yours yet ;)
Will be keeping an extra eye out, which one do you have?

^Yours wasn't in Rothar recently getting an ultegra FD (i think) fitted?

Wasn't there myself, but a buddy of mine said he saw it. If it was yours, he was saying that you were getting a 105, but Canyon sent you the Ultegra or somthing and now my buddy is getting the 105 instead. Or something like that.

I always keep an eye out for one, as they are recommended an awful lot on here, but I have yet to see one out and about. I have the Roadlite 7.0

Do you go out with the Carrigdhoun Club at all?

^ I don't have a Canyon, sorry for the confusion!

I've seen a couple of Canyons in Cork. Mine is a built up Ultimate CF Evo 2010 Black frameset (with orange inside the fork and chainstays) with SRAM/FSA components and black Ksyrium SL wheels. I'll be out on it later today if I aint fighting bugs (see earlier post). The new baby (Cannondale CAAD 9) is on it's way so I'll be dividing up my road time between the two after it has arrived.

4 day sportif, run off before the pro race you have to finish in front of a broom wagon to get a time (otherwise get overtaken by a pro race)

Is there any websites with a hierarchy list of FSA cranks?

And any websites with hierarchy of wheels too?

Or am I just going to look and read reviews and make up my own mind on things?

I was looking at the thread about the guy who got hit by a milk float in London. It got me thinking about the time I fell off the back of a milk lorry (a lorry - not a float!) when scutting as a young lad. We lived near the Grand Canal at Harolds Cross Bridge and used to hop on the back of trucks all the time for a laugh (very bad idea, don't try this at home etc.).

It just occurred to me that you never see anyone scutting these days. Why not? Trucks no longer on the streets? Road safety message getting through? Better enforcement? Kids just have better things to do?

Some kids attempted to scut on the back of my taxi during the snow.

    It's political correctness gone mad.
