My girlfriend wanted to get the AE disc for me for my birthday, and I told her about Capcom's "limited release" statement so she kept a close eye on it. Really hard to get concrete details on all this, but here's what she's found out so far (may not be 100% accurate):

Arcade Edition disc release came out TODAY

Gamestop, Smyths, Xtravision, HMV and Argos aren't stocking it

GAME are, but they've sold out

Amazon are on PS3, but they just sold out of Xbox copies (she snagged me the last one)

So it appears to be next to impossible to get your hands on it, but thanks to my wonderful girlfriend, I should have it by next weekend.

If you come across a copy by accident, you should probably pick it up.

I was trying to get a copy of AE today but sadly no one in cork had it.

Gamestop,Game,Zone,HMV none had any record or listing of AE........
Most of them said they won't even stock it in:mad:

In the end I got it on ebay just there :pac:

Not to rushed got the DLC on ps3 anywayz

BTW where did u see that capcom said a limited release

it looks like it by the looks of it

Some eventhubs news update way way back when they were originally discussing the release dates of the DLC VS disc, can't remember when.

It was just notable for me and made me especially wary because they HADN'T said that about Tatsunoko VS Capcom for the Wii, but that game was damn near impossible to get.

Wow, I didn't think the release would be this limited!

I just rang GAME in Limerick there and they said it didn't come in yet but, they got no notice saying it wouldn't be in and they usually do if thats the case. So she told me ring again in the morning.

Fingers crossed.

If it's not too much trouble for you, I'd go into the store and doublecheck they haven't just sold out.

If they haven't received their stock yet, put down a fiver deposit on it. People with money down always get preference over filthy peasants who come in off the street.

I could hear them talking in the background and they definitely didn't get it in yet.

And those bastards won't keep anything for you! I used to go to Game for years until they screwed me over too many times on pre-order stuff. Now I only deal with Gamestop because they always used to bail me out.

This is really sold out in most places. Cancelled my old order and bought it off Amazon instead. Should be here by sometime next week.

Not everything. Some games get through without it. But only very rarely

Just wondering since I would like disc version anyway so we have copies for conventions and casuals and relying on people with memory keys all the time

Ordered disc AE from shopto around 3pm yesterday, delivered this morning, just wanted a copy on disc for casuals.

I had a wander around Dublin city today to see if I could pick up a copy earlier than mine would arrive in the post.

Spoke to bunch of lads I know working in game shops and the like, and it looks like this is actually not available in stores (not out of stock, not available).

GAME had it only via their online store, nobody else has it in their system or expects to get it in.

Bottom line: If you want it, you have to get it online.
