    This is almost certianly a skit done up by the producers to win ratings. There are a minimum of three auditions to pass before you get on that stage, sometimes spanning over three days. Some get through on talent, some get through as a joke and some get through to keep the crowd interested. He got through as he was willing to go along with a ratings prank put to him by the producers.

    Some people really will do anything to get on TV.

    was it actually broadcast.or was it an out-take that someone editing the X-factor uploaded to youtube?

    If they broadcast it,it would really would have been an all time low for x-factor.

    as others have said it could have been a medical bag.

    it would have been a really cruel thing to him and his daughters if it went out on national TV.

    may,be IF it was broadcast it was actors?

    the show is obviously rehearsed and scripted and camera Always zoom in on just the right person at right time.

    even so it is a real fun show to watch.

    if they broadcast that clip though it is a bit sick.

    No it's always been this way. Have you never noticed how the contestants are always either really good or really crap? They let the shit peeps through for the entertainment factor and the good people through for the sob stories.

    I felt really sorry for him, the whole audience and the judges mocking him like that. I still laughed though. At the beginning of the video he had a rather large bulge in his pants and I thought he might have had a problem there, like a tumour or something. Seems unlikely to be an erection.

    Well according to my friend who went for the show once, there's pre-auditions (none of the TV judges) where they basically weed out the mediocre/average people, and keep the really goods and really craps for the TV auditions! Entertainment value etc.
