Did you ever watch the Muppet Show? If so, who was your favourite Muppet? And who would win in a fight, Miss Piggy or Maggie Thatcher?

If attacked, which would you rather have to defend yourself with, a turnip or a pineapple??? Describe how you use your choice to defend yourself.

    :P:P

If you can read this, you're too close!

How much are you paying the composite artist? :P

    Soooo......

    First crush?

    Coke or Pepsi?

Ever walked out of a movie at the cinema?

How do you spend your free time (other than on Boards)?

    Ever fired a gun?

What's the most awful name anyone can give their child?

Do you or have you ever owned a pair of novelty slippers?

    Favourite childhood cartoon?

Do you ever drink from the carton?

Do you try to use re-usable shopping bags or do you end up forking over moneys for plastic bags at the checkout?

Edit: I like how we're all grouping together for the final attack :pac:

Aye, I've seen it all right.

Fozzie (?) ... the bear who tells bad jokes and get things pelted at him, anyway.

Can't imagine why I identify with that character ... >_>
    Thomas828 wrote: »

Hmmm ... remarkably close match between alarmingly similar opponents ....

Given Miss Piggy's tendency to throw foul punches at anyone with balls, I reckon she would just snatch it ... :pac:

    A pineapple any time ...

A turnip is smooth and featureless, whereas a judiciously inserted pineapple can seriously discommode an opponent!

A cactus is even better, though ...

    Coke.

Yes, but have no idea what it was! I know it was boring me rigid ...

What's the most awful name anyone can give their child?
Oh hell, so many these days pulled from the soaps ... but I'm only going to offend someone if I start a list!

Princess Tiaamii is definitely in contention ... you know, the kid of those two American walking fake boobs adverts that broke up recently.

Romeo Beckham ... I mean, can you just imagine the slagging that poor kid will get in school?!

Fifi Trixibell ... gerroudofit, Bob!

Oh, and I once met a youngster called Richard Hunter!

He was only 14 and he already had that "Kill me now!!1!" look in his eyes.

Do parents not actually think about the name they're giving the unfortunate child?!

    Tom and Jerry. Timeless classic.

    No! :pac:

People, the good sort. Laughter. The sea. Mountains.
    cHaTbOx wrote: »

People, the bad sort. Rain. Dank, dirty, rundown inner cities.
    cHaTbOx wrote: »

Probably the f-word, I use it way too much!
    cHaTbOx wrote: »
What sound or noise do you love?
if I told you that, this would be moved to S&S! :p

So I'll go with other favourites ... the sound of the sea (detecting a pattern?!), seagulls, distant church bells, a tractor buzzing in the distance on a summer's evening.
    cHaTbOx wrote: »
What sound or noise do you hate?
Chalk on a board / nail on glass, anything highpitched like that. An animal howling in fear or hurt. A child crying.
    cHaTbOx wrote: »

Anything to do with travel - writer / journalist / anything in that line really.

    Doctor, anything medical; law.

Best practical joke you have played?
We went through a spate of ambushing people in LC year with "used" johnnies ... actually just with a drop of liquid soap in, but they looked very authentic. One "discarded" on the ground in cubicles of the senior girls' loo caused a LOT of gossip and consternation! Or we would slip them into one of the lads jacket pockets after the pub / whatever ... goes into the chipper, whether pulling out the wallet or just because he has his hands in his pockets and feels something odd, it nearly always re-emerged publicly! :pac:

Or there was the guy who conked out at the end of his stag night, and woke up the next morning in plaster of paris from knee to groin because "he had gone to climb a lamppost and fallen and broken his hip!" He believed us too, as did his gf. She beat us around the place once for letting it happen, and a second time when we told her the truth!! :D

Mind you, the plaster caused abrasions in the groin area, so he was still limping slightly anyway at his wedding! >_>

Hmmm ... the others I can think of right now might not suit here ... or polite company anywhere actually! :pac:
    cHaTbOx wrote: »

Being asked by a good mate to be his best man, even though he had brothers ...
    cHaTbOx wrote: »
What do you think of the question " what question would you ask me if you had the chance?"
I'm tempted to say "typical Dobby-ish" ... but if you mean at the end of an interview, 'tis often a lousy one.
    cHaTbOx wrote: »

Stepping back and falling between two floor support beams in a very old building that was being renovated (much of the floor was up). My hip bones just wedged in the two beams each side, saving me from a fall of 15 feet plus onto a concrete floor. If I hadn't been completely perpendicular to the beams, I was gone.
    cHaTbOx wrote: »

    cHaTbOx wrote: »
Do you hate me yet ?
    Yes
    cHaTbOx wrote: »
When was the last time you pulled a sicky bar the reason being you were actually sick?
Not sure I ever did, certainly not recently. I tend to be quite swamped a lot of the time, but at the same time I have a certain amount of control over my own work, so if I needed time off that badly I'd just re-schedule around it ... or I'd know I just couldn't, and short of being in hospital, I'd have to drag myself in whether I was sick or not! So there wouldn't be much point ...

Patience (normally!). A liking for and empathy with people. Sense of humour.
    cHaTbOx wrote: »

Divide my time between seeing the places I haven't seen and spending time with the people I care about. If I had the money, drag them with me and combine the two!

Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Keep your powder dry and your weapon wet! :pac:
    Any regrets?
    Doesn't everybody?

Not that many, I suppose. Usually the things I didn't do. Though there's a couple of people I hurt in the past, mostly in the teenage years, through stubbornness or just not getting it ... they're things I would change if I could, certainly.

what fictional character do you wish you could be and why?
Casanova? :pac: ... though I suppose he's not strictly fictional.

Superman would be nice ... almost instantaneous travel, no difficulties with commuting!
    Favourite stand up comedian?
As mentioned earlier, probably Steven Lynch at the moment.
    Beavis or Butthead?
the guy who murders both of them Beavis
If your house was burning doen and you only had time to grab one thing, what would it be?
Wallet probably. I really don't have much in the line of priceless possessions.
Best haloween costume you have ever seen/worn?
Hmm, a homemade leather strappy thing that was made for a skit we did at a med hallowe'en ball at college springs to mind. It got a good laugh, but damn! was it uncomfortable!! And it only lasted about half the night ... luckily, until after we had done our bit!

What would your pornstar name be?
<--- Now why on earth would I bother with another one?! :pac:
any particular singer/song/genre of music you dont like?
Techno / rave / anything of that ilk.
    Ever crash while driving?
    No.
    do you like fires?
In fireplaces or other appropriate settings, yes, very much. :p
    do you smoke?
    Yes.
    Ever take illegal substances?
    5th amendment.
Ever respond to a personals ad?
Once. It was a wind-up ad which we put in on behalf of a mate, and a couple of us decided to put in fake responses as well ...
What do you think of the lisbon treaty?
    See post 10 above.
Were you happy with your leaving cert results?
    Yes.
    how old are you?
Two days older than when you asked me last! :p
    8.How old are you?
Old enough to know better, young enough not to care! :P
Did you ever sleep with a teddy?
Yes, and very well she looked in it too ... :pac:
    Ever bungee jump?
No, nor wouldn't. Parachuting or abseiling, grand, but there's something about bungee jumping that says "whiplash!!" to me
    Any celebrity crushes?
    Nope, celebrity-phobic.
    whats your guilty pleasure?
Same as every other man's, I would imagine. >_>

Apart from that, probably watching sci-fi series like Star Trek / Stargate / Eureka to turn my brain off.
    Chinese or chipper?
    Chinese every time.
What do you like on a pizza?
Ham / pineapple / mushrooms would probably be my basic, but I'll mix and match fairly easily. DON'T give me olives!!
    Ever been arrested?
    Nope.
    Ever strip in public?
Yep. Generally late at night though ...
    Can you sing?
Like a mix between a bullfrog and a cement mixer.
have you ever been so drunk youve missed hours when you woke up?
No. I've often remembered things I would have been happy to forget though.

    Best childhood memory? :)
West Kerry summers (when we got summers!). Gangs of us wandering off on a summer's day and heading for one of the smaller beaches the tourists didn't know about, or which were just difficult to access. Swimming, wrestling, often half-drowning one another. Seaweed fights. Burying some poor eejit in the sand, and then marking out the soccer or volleyball pitch around him. Diving in to the sea again to get the sand out of the cracks. Climbing up into the rocks where no one could see us to dry off, and lying out in the sun and chatting and slagging for hours. Someone falling asleep and waking up to find everyone's underwear piled on his face. Trying to retrieve said underwear from wherever he threw it (often unsuccessfully). Eventually making ourselves decent if possible, and starting for home with a hole in our bellies ... not that it ever seemed to speed our feet much.

As we began to get a bit older, those types of days got even better ... :pac:
What size feet do you have? :p
    12
    Left- or right-handed?
    Right-handed.
