Go into the app settings and clear updates. It will go back to the original version.
Isn't that only with system apps?

IF(and you should) you have a back up with say Titanium Backup you could easily restore the old app/settings.

Its a great app to have(and well worth it if you work out reinstalling the apps and settings etc)and you can easily make a few backs up and keep them for a while on the pc or external drive if anything like this ever happens.

TuneIn Radio Pro has been updated and the update is a complete balls up. Apart from the awful look they've removed the feature I use most, the alarm clock.

So, can anyone recommend an alternative radio app with alarm clock functionality or, would anyone have the apk for the older version (current is 12.0).

The Alarm is still there. It is now under the radio station options as per http://help.tunein.com/customer/portal/articles/916435-how-do-i-set-an-alarm-

Also not a fan of the new "style" but give it time and we'll adapt :-)

To any of you who are looking for older versions of applications, be careful: these apps that you find on the internet can be tweaked and may have malicious code in them. Just be aware of that.

And, I'm not coming from the piracy standpoint, as if you own the application already, I don't see the problem.

    LeanData
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teqtic.leandata
"It can enable/disable WiFi, Cellular Data (2G, 3G, LTE), and Bluetooth after a certain time with the screen off to conserve battery power and lower data usage."

    KinScreen
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teqtic.kinscreen
"KinScreen is a lightweight application that automatically manages the screen time-out. It keeps your screen on when you need it (convenient) and turns it off when you don't (battery savings). No more annoying screen timing out while you are reading or thinking!"(Basically keep moving your screen so it doesn't lock, handy if you want to set it for 30 seconds to save power, but don't want it to keep locking mid action)

I'm reading plenty of apps on this thread I'd like to download but by the time I get home from work I'll have completely forgotten about them!

Double posts? Or maybe I'm wrong here, I'm only joking anyways!

To contribute to the thread, Widgetsoid has great widgets, like quick settings in notification bar on older firmwares

The Soluto app gives a nice overview of your devices apps and hardware, but I haven't found a true use for it yet. I suppose if you lost it you could verify if you had apps like Cerberus or similar

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wayrasoft.llamadaoculta I use it all the time to make business calls from my personal phone and find the widget particularly useful i.e. you can toggle your outbound caller ID off for the next call only.

Headshot, I linked you to the wrong one. The one Basq linked to is the actual one I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.devarc.anoncall

Don't know why people develop copy cat apps using the same name, brand colours etc :o

On my phone using the youtube app, voice search hasn't been working for the last week or more.
    I deleted the updates and
    Downloaded them again and
    No joy!
Is anyone else having this problem? Ie. I tap the mike icon talk an it just makes a beep. Nothing in the search bar.

This has helped my battery life by about 20% - I have it installed for the last week or so and find it has helped conserve battery

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teqtic.leandata

    Description
LeanData is a lightweight application that automatically manages your device's battery-hungry wireless connections.
It can disable WiFi, Cellular Data (2G, 3G, LTE), and Bluetooth* after a certain time with the screen off to conserve battery power and lower data usage. Connections are only disabled if on battery, if not tethering, if there is negligible data transfer, and no Bluetooth devices are connected (with option "only turn off if inactive"). For example, streaming internet radio will not stop. If a connection is found to be in use, it will check again.

Once the screen is turned back on or unlocked (option), it will then enable any connections it had previously disabled

Already posted it myself and it is a great app alright, along with their keep the screen alive when you move it app

If you want to go a step further on networks, this app turns off 3G and uses 2G when you set certain rules and then you tell it when to turn 3G back on

    Intelli3G
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.voidvapps.intelli3g
    ** Xposed framework is required http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401 **

Intelli3G will intelligently manage your 3G connection and prevent your phone from losing battery when you are not using it. Intelli3G will put your phone on 2G network when it is your pocket. It will not disable your data like most other apps. You will still get all your notifications with minimal battery drain.

    Features:
    - Manual 2G/3G toggle
    - Switch to 2G on screen off without interrupting any downloads
    - Switch to 2G when you are connected to a WiFi network.
    - Switch to 2G when data is disabled
    - Switch to 3G on screen unlock
    - Switch to 3G when bandwidth intensive apps are launched
    - Disable service on call/hotspot/charge

I posted this in the Z2 thread as I missed the customisable lock screen from my S4. This is a brilliant app that'll allow you to access a whole host of applications or even make a call, straight from the lock screen.

    Start
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.celltick.lockscreen

It's free, without any ads and very slick.

Ben from the google play store description
" This app will only work on ROOTED Stock Android 4.1+ or AOSP ROMS **"

    Suppose install and try it.

2G-3G OnOff-They say 2G saves on power, this is a widget to a shortcut to change from 2G to 3G when on Wifi or not using data

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...twork2g3gonoff

This is another option, create a widget and turn 3G on and off yourself as you need it

Guys I got a new Panasonic smart viera tv over the weekend. I've noticed I can have Youtube open on my phone and play the videos on the tv. Is there a way/app that would allow me to do this with other things on my phone ?

What phone do you have? My Z2 comes with a push thing that I can connect using some Intel technology - I can duplicate the screen of my phone on the TV and push/play any content on it. It's pretty cool.

    It's screen mirroring.
Some phones have it. If you have root Koush has an app that can do it.

No not rooted unfortunately. How come it works for Youtube though ? Is that built into the app ?
