You buy them when you need them or else store them in a cool dry place where they won't get damaged.

I kept one in my passport for a while there. That was a good spot. Tho it always fell out whenever i gave my passport to a bouncer.

Continuing students can just pay the epay thing and leave it at that right?

So how long are lectures/labs/tutorials or whatnot on average?

I think lectures are 50 minutes with 10 minutes for you to get around. Labs are 3 hours but if you work quickly, you can get out quicker.

Labs for Computer Science were 2 hours last year

Did anyone ever see your man that wandered around the hamilton library last year.
He was a bit of a biker.
    Long, dark, curlyish hair.
Always carried a helmet with him.
    Leather jacket and leather trousers.
There would always be a squelching sound as he walked passed.
I could only imagine the levels of chafing that occured.

Id heard all about him, but never seen him before until yesterday. He was in Hamilton libary wearing full biking leathers. It was very warm. I dont know how he manages it.

Talking about the ones that aren't the one good one down beside the Coke machines...
The ones on each floor, near the staircases.

    I don't get it?

    I don't get it?

I pictured him wiping his hands on his megadeth t-shirt as he typed that, stroking his goatee in glee.

Metallica and Megadeth are overated. You should try listening to Dragonforse. :D

It surprises me not one bit that a Dragonforce fan can't spell. I've heard that can happen when you listen to nothing but scales played really fast.

Ooooh, yeah, those ones are ****. The water comes out with about as much pressure as a baby's drool. The one beside the coke machines is great.

Dont hate on them just cause you cant hear the notes!

A good a reason as any, plus the fact that one song is not discernible from another doesn't help.

The Ussher library is the best for naps.

Also, if the person who left a note on my desk while I napped there, saying 'While you were sleeping, America has blown itself using a new nuclear weapon. Russia has claimed the remnants. Also, I stole one of your Kidneys,' is reading this, WHO ARE YOU?

Make your own food for eating in College, buying lunch from a shop or restaurant is way more expensive.

Don't be surprised if they have a roll call for some of your classes like in school. Don't be surprised if nobody cares if you go to other classes.

Depending on how continuous assessment is structured in your course, you may not need to buy every core text immediately. Definitely buy them if you have to answer weekly questions from a textbook. You don't want to have to borrow that from the library at the same time as everyone else, or find that the questions in the 2nd edition are totally different to those in the 3rd edition.

When writing essays, learn to use spell check. (Or learn to spell.) This will give you a surprising edge over many of your classmates. Many people have intelligent ideas, but harm the communication of those ideas by typing up their document with spelling errors intact, and it leaves a bad impression when readers are correcting your work. Oddly enough, errors seem more common when students type than when they handwrite. People are systemically biased towards believing they can do things well and that includes spelling, so bear that in mind. Another systemic bias is when readers assume that a single spelling error means the author isn't being clear in the text as a whole. On the other hand, Boards seems to train people to check what they write before they type it, so this isn't hugely relevant here.

Who gives a feck how people look at you for bringing your own food, it saves you a night out a week in rip off lunches! Also no, I dont think anyone would take any notice unless they were really up themselves, they're more likely to be jealous that you were arsed to bring food and they weren't.
