This is by far the best arcade in Tokyo. Has something for everyone. Highly recommended for anyone who visits Japan! The range of games on offer (especially for beat em up and shmups fans) is borderline ridiculous.

The sheer amount of Egret 3's and 2's in the place is crazy (I've an Egret 3 at home for those that don't know).

I now really want an Egret 2 to compliment my Egret 3.

I'm playing The Mighty Magus on my spectrum. Enjoyable game but gets frustrating :P

Playing a bit of donkey kong on gameboy and mario vs donkey kong on gba.
The gameboy one is better I think.
Bit more of a challenge so far not that it is that difficult. Having said that I was like 'ha ha I've forty lives this is so easy.' proceeded to lose 17 lives on 1 stage.
It wasn't even that hard I just kept dying stupidly.

Thinking of firing up megaman x2 or turtles in time next, can't decide though.

Back giving Raiden a few goes tonight and doing particularly rubbish (300k) until the last game of the night and I finally clocked 500k. Stupidly lost two lives in quick succession at the start of level 3 on the way to that score so plenty of room for improvement. Still, happy with that. :D
Not using bombs is a must for those juicy end of level bonus points. Some of the little graphical touches in the game are cool like the little men walking behind the cows on the ground or the red and blue lights on the power up ships - you never really get time to appreciate them.

    +1

the GB version is the better, more simple and by the challenge definitely ramps up once you pass the half way stage.

I'm currently shooting the undead with a water pistol, killing mummies with a weed whacked, distracting lumberjacks with blow up dolls and blowing up possessed toys with cans of mimneral/soda/pop.
Zombies wanna eat my neighbours but I ain't going stand for that crap. Lock n squirt.

Zombies on Snes. One of my all time favourites from way back.

I am back playing Mario Picross via my GBA flashcart, and a lovely game it is too.
Perfect for when I want to imagine I'm good at games.... Before Dark Souls emasculates me once again...
Man that game would make Chuck Norris feel puny...

Have you played the DS Picross titles? Does Mario Picross compare at all? Aside from being a Gameboy title.

There is a certain something about how Ninty put things together, it's just wonderful, and monochrome, although the SuperGameboy surrounds look cool.
They seem well worth tracking down, despite the many puzzle game compilations out there for the DS

Zombies is so hard! There's no way you can get through it without dying numerous times.

That was the other game I got for Christmas the year it came out along with a Japanese import of Street Fighter II Turbo. Though I had the USA version called Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

Awesome game it was. I'll have to find a copy of it again I think.

I'd love to try that other game too, I forget the name, but you play as a poltergeist and you have to scare people out of a house. Any ideas anyone?

You were one lucky kid. The Street Fighter II Turbo import was much sought after. I was drooling over the ads in the back of video game mags sellling it for £120!

Those two games were what I got for Christmas and birthday that year (birthday is 27/12). Was certainly very lucky indeed, probably mad too as I don't really like fighting games. :o

I actually didn't import anything again after that. It's only now I'm collecting NTSC-J after all these years.

It's a little less common than your average game for some reason. Probably cost about €20 on average.

playing Super Mario 3D, great game, makes the 3DS worth it almost

Felt like such a boss when I found the warp zone in world 1-2 :p

Found a handy program called portable system shock that gives the games modern keyboard and mouse controls and I'm playing it now after struggling to get the mouse inverted. I think I'm procrastinating on zelda.

Aha Haunting! Remember playing it once or twice in a neighbour's house and still have fond memories of it.

Skitchin' was another brief affair that still lingers like a fart / delightful perfumey smell (delete as appropriate). Anyone played it recently?

I have it, by way of completing the Road Rash series collection on my MD of which it is, at least partly a member.
I could never get into it tbh.
Must whip it out again and have a fiddle :)

A mate of mine absolutely loves Skitchin. Don't get the love at all myself. I'd rather be riding a motorbike, whipping the head off P.E Number 1 with a chain.
