Just read up on it and yeah, they've shortened that quest in the HD version alright. I hate to think how much longer it was on the GC.

Also read that the Swift Sail isn't in the GC version either. Jesus, that and no WiiU gamepad as an inventory, how did you cope? :pac:

Ah the sailing was relaxing, I didn't mind as much as other people and once you got the teleport spell then it made things very easy.

I started playing "The Lost Vikings" today. Brought back great memories.. You'd be surprised at how much you still remember when replaying old titles!

Finally started Alien Isolation and it's scaring the poop out of me, very nice indeed

At least you have one of the most visually impressive final battles ever to look forward to. It's worth it!

You certainly weren't lying, that was excellent!

Kinda sad that it's over now though, was quite enjoying sailing around the place. There's something really endearing about cel shaded Link :D

That 'Post Completing Zelda Blues' should be in the medical dictionary. Couldn't play any game for about a week after finishing Twilight Princess.

    Hah! That's it exactly :(

The only WiiU games I have to play now are Splinter Cell Blacklist and Mass Effect 3. I don't think I'll be touching them for a while...

Get Pikmin 3. Everyone forgets about it but it's one of the best games made in ages.

Bayonetta 2! If you already own it, pump up the difficulty and play again.

Definitely, I think, the most expressive Link going. There's something quite oogie about the unpossessed boat; it's sad with a dash of creepy.

To be perfectly honest, I've forgotten about it myself too! Will pick that up next.

I don't know what it is, but I tend to just not enjoy 3rd person action games like that. It's the one major genre I've always had difficulty getting in to. Things like Devil May Cry, God of War, Bayonetta, jump around slashing everything on screen ... they tend to bore me really quickly.

I did enjoy the Bayonetta 2 demo, but I think it was partially to do with the bitesized length. Don't think it could hold my attention for a full game.

It's like you're now sailing around in a corpse, bit unnerving alright

Hmm, had it in my head that you had played through the first and loved it recently for some reason!

I played it for about 3 hours, thought it was fantastic, but reached a threshold where it got a bit samey. Then couldn't muster the interest to go back to it! :(

My sister is mad about it, keeps giving out that I haven't finished it yet. Maybe I need to listen to her :D

Your sister has taste. I bet she has gotten 96 exits in super Mario world.

She's quite possibly the biggest Pokémon fan in Ireland. So that taste thing is rather subjective :D

Hohokum. Aka hipster **** the game.

I don't really get this game. It's totally aimless and feels a bit like Noby Noby Boy in that regard. I'll give it a few more goes but the main annoyance for me with this game is for something that's meant to be a light breezy game it takes forever to load.

mmm, first time I played it I fell asleep. its quite relaxing but kind if pointless. my 4 year old enjoys it so glad I got it in the sale

Bought Metal Slug 3 and Sonic Generations on steam sale recently.

Finished the former with infinite continues earlier. Enjoyable game. Not a lot of platforming, more playing as tanks planes camels etc...

Still good fun and a nice change of pace from Destiny especially at €2 I think it was.

Sonic Generations currently downloading. Paid €7 for it which is peanuts considering I nearly bought it full price for the 360 at launch but thankfully got sidetracked by something else. Really looking forward to it.

It's not aimless :) You can certainly drift around soaking in the scenery, but there are 'aims' to the game, much more so than Noby Noby Boy (which only had its meta game). One of the joys of Hohokum is discovering the weird and wonderful puzzles and self-contained narratives contained in each 'level'. The way mechanics, mood and stories emerge without dialogue or explicit instructions is a fascinating and surprisingly progressive thing to behold. Plenty of delightful surprises hiding when you start exploring the world and playing with the tools on offer.

I would fully accept that it's not for everyone, but definitely my game of last year.

Didn't have any loading issues at all on PS4 though? Are you playing on Vita or something?

Yeah on Vita. PS4 is in my parents place gathering dust.

    Atelier Rorona plus on Vita.

I've been saying it for a while now but the Atelier games are up thereb with Persona as the best damn RPG series around at the moment. Rorona plus is a remake of the first PS3 game. It just has a few minor gameplay tweaks and UI changes but they turn a great game into a fantastic one. The Vita version has a few framerate hiccups here and there but it's nothing too distracting. Really, really enjoying it and hopefully I can finish it this time!

The modded Time Crisis gun has an autofire switch.

In Crisis Zone you have a sub machine gun.

    ...

Yes it works and yes its amazing :pac:

    The ****ing noise though!

Wasnt that standard in the arcades without any modded autofire switch? I seem to remember the Time Crisis gun going CLACK-CLACK-CLACK-CLACK-CLACK superfast in my hand in the Leisuredome in Galway years ago anyway, maybe it was Time Crisis 2.

Yeah but remember, I'm using it with a PS2! :D

Time Crisis 2 and 3 do indeed have autofire to cycle the slide in the arcade. However I'm running this with a PS2 - the guncon2 doesn't have a moving slide.

This is plugging into a PS2 which has no support for relays or autofire so all that fun stuff had to be add to the gun.
