-Cillian Murphy has a weird face and dies waaay too late in The Wind that Shakes the Barley.
-I read lesbians and puppy. I want puppy.
-I forgot what point three was going to say. But it was somewhat important, as in, it made sense.

My brain is fried... Also I made awesome falafel last night, and spilled hot chocolate everywhere in the process. They deserved to be mentioned.

And being in love is the best thing ever.
    Just throwing that out there.

And a lot of single people suck, except for Darrykins because he's cool and coolness always wins... Also having a very comfy bed probably helps.

    I'm not a radiator.

Unlike Tar, I can text while I'm drunk and make people think I'm not drunk because I can still artitculate my texts. How cool is that? I'm still proud of being able to send an 8 digit code thru text and get it all right yay.

You said I didn't sound drunk in my texts! Hmf!

I was probably trying to be nice. The message you were conveying was that of a drunk person in luuurve. They were well typed though.
Also, how bad would it be if I'd told you that you sounded very drunk, considering that you couldn't even remember what you texted me? =P

Bah... back to that stupid South Dublin County Council office... with my Junior Cert results *shakes fist at the world*

haha! I need a phone lock between certain hours. Mmm legible though! :P

    Why JC results?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,541 ✭✭✭anothernight

Because apparently that's how they now prove that you were in Ireland at the time. The last time they didn't accept my application because of it, so I asked the woman how come my sister (who didn't do the JC) was never asked for it. She couldn't answer that, then said "oh idk it changes every year you know!"
I asked if I could prove it any other way, and she didn't know either...

    It annoyed me big time.
Though at least this time they did take my application and the woman there was a nicer, older woman =]

Also I had to wait less time for 30 numbers before me in the queue (that's how you spell it kids! Little pet hate there) than for 4 numbers the last time... Though in fairness most of those numbers didn't have a holder because they sent a lot of people to some other place.

Think 30 is a lot, try the passport office! Although if you are me, some young wan gives you her spare ticket :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,541 ✭✭✭anothernight

I never said 30 is a lot. It was just a lot more than 4.

You're not foreign. If you were, you'd realise that the passport office is nowhere near as bad as trying to get the relevant documents to live legally in a country you're not from. Thank God for having an EU nationality.

I remember when I was little, seeing in Spain all those people who'd actually spend days on the street waiting in line for their turn, just to get into the building =/
Apparently it's very bad for non EU people here as well. My poor filipino/chinese/[insert non EU nationality here] friends =(

Getting a new nationality also sucks. They seem to do it in such a way that as soon as you've gathered all the required documents, the first one you got will have expired. I'll be forever grateful to my mum for having done all the work for me when I was little =]

Just found out that my sister is here, while I am here. Lucky, lucky sister! Though she's so cute. Keeps texting to say that she misses me ^_^

My sister is currently in Seattle and heading to Buenos Aires in a few days. Stupid awesome job.

Being from elsewhere can have it's advantages. Mates of mine's mother is from Switzerland (they've lived in Ireland all their life) and they're in the process of getting Swiss passports. Handy to have if war breaks out / aliens invade etc.

Yeah but try being from Brazil. Or any country that hasn't got nice agreements with the country you live in. I know what you mean though. I have a Brazilian and a Spanish passport (I'm actually eligible for the Irish nationality but won't apply for it). It's very handy alright. My parents are actually entitled to get retired in both Spain and Brazil, which means that they can get paid by both countries.
If one of the passports makes you need a visa to go somewhere, you can use the other one.
With the Spanish nationality comes a national ID card, which I can use to travel to most countries in the world. Very handy when your passport's decided to expire at the worst time :)

Also I wouldn't get included in the free fees scheme for college if I didn't have a Spanish passport.

What does your sister do for a living, if you don't mind me asking?

Possibly. If she's doing physics anything than I think you have to do a bit of astro thrown in.

    Let's wait and see...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,028 ✭✭✭✭--LOS--

    Someone say astrophysics ^_^

Yep I do physics with astronomy, it's mostly general physics but way cooler sounding with lots more astronomy in the 2nd half of the course and astronomy related project work and labs, if it was an american system it would be a major in physics and a minor in astronomy.

    This me:

    This not me:

    astrology.jpg

There's an observatory there in Buenos Aires, your sister's going to be working there?

The technicians in those observatories are so qualified and don't get paid a whole lot in comparison, still seems like a cool job.

It's a husky puppy too but still I don't want to live with 3 other girls

My invisible housemate is moving out tomorrow, not sure when the rest moving in.

Hot chocolate isn't a patch on cocoa imo!

Also I will need to point out like an annoying yoke that you wrote 'artitculate' Oh the ironing :pac:

Are you trying to organise your application for the air traffic controller thingy or what?

I counted my bus refunds, I have €16.80!!!!

Lesson for everyone, never teach your mother how to use gtalk, nearly got a heart attack when she popped up on my screen earlier and started talking to me :/

Melted Lindt in full fat milk with a lot of cream isn't a patch on what? If I say hot chocolate I never mean a drink made with a powder that contains more sugar than cocoa. I do sometimes use proper cocoa though, if I've run out of dark chocolate or want to make it stronger.

I have my mum on all the msn/gtalk accounts I've ever had. She's blocked.
I had her on Facebook until the last time I got mad at her and removed her, and she didn't accept the friend request. Said she was fed up with getting ignored online by her youngest daughter and from now on she'd only talk to my sister… Not that I really care.
What you do is appease her by adding her if she wants, then quietly removing her and/or block her. The only thing is that it automatically turns you into the black sheep of the family when you get found out.

Phew, that sugary cadburys stuff is manky, no one will ever convince me otherwise, I just make cocoa with either all hot water or a bit of soya milk.

Oh it's not till December, I assume you'll just take up your tcd place for now?
*is jealous of your cool name*
Mine screams of has relations with dodgy Kerry accents :P

She has already been blocked! The email essays and never-ending phone conversations are more than enough to deal with.

I was so lazy just now, was set for going to tescos, then just went to the local shop and got cereal :/
In my defense it was damn cold out.
    So many knacks out
/turns up volume on mp3 so as not to hear stupid remarks :pac:

    With water?!!! EWWWWWWW

I could actually go as early as September iirc. They give a long list of dates in the three possible centres and you book one. I don't have a clue if I'll actually be able to go considering that there's college stuff but I booked it anyway. December, because it's still a bit of time and I got nervous just thinking about it lol Also I've things to sort out.
Of course I'll take the tcd place! Veeeeery few people make it. It's really hard to actually become an ATCO, and even if you get into ATC college there's no guarantee that you'll pass it. Though if you do it's instant riches lol Not that I'm trying just for the money.

Cool name??? I hate my name! Bruna is like the most common Brazilian name ever (despite being Italian) and then in other countries no one really knows it so they misspell/mispronounce it all the time. Then I have the middle name (which I also hate and only have it because mum thought she was giving me a backup), then two surnames. Or only one, if you look at the Brazilian passport. The hassle it is when filling in forms... I have the ugliest surnames ever. The first one is unpronounceable by anyone not Brazilian or French, or who speaks a language with nasal sounds.... Even I'm bad at pronouncing it compared to proper real Brazilians >_<
Also, you have a lovely first name ^_^

I think you have a problem with tescos. Have you ever considered asking Peas to do your groceries? Or... just planning ahead or something.
Also, we must live in different countries because I'm roasting! It was unbearably hot in Tallaght today.

Tastes much the same to me with all water or water and soya milk, wouldn't make it on all milk, not even all soya milk, yucky

But I think even though trinity have switched over to semesterisation, there's still no exams in January, you'll probably be ok especially since it's first year. Definitely worth going for anyway!

Common as muck but that does mean I appear in movies and books and songs frequently :D

That's really not a good idea, I've been made like way too much bad stuff already, things I have convinced myself for years I don't like  I need to learn to make more things or something, I go and never know what to get and just buy for that day and that's it. It was probably hot outside today earlier, although I wouldn't know.

It's just not right what that boy does to condiments

I won't say what my first thought was. But I'm sure you can imagine. >_< I'm sure he also likes ketchup.

Em maybe you could give him a list of things to buy? Then he just has to go there, read the list, look for all the stuff and bring them back to you. It'd appease his sense of manliness because he wouldn't be forced to linger in the supermarket looking at stuff. Just in, out, and the deed is done.

    <_<

Or maybe you could go to Tesco yourself. It might be easier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,028 ✭✭✭✭--LOS--

Ye well the ketchup was a given, didn't think I needed to mention :pac: Normally I'd have something like ketchup in the press for months. Also how can you mix gravy AND brown sauce, is that not just wrong. Can you even taste that or is just satisfaction from knowing it's there

Think maybe going myself, make him wait outside and just carry stuff else would need to be blind-folded and cuffed in the supermarket so he couldn't pick up stuff or see offers on Ben and Jerrys >_>

I think I might start killing some partitions on my laptop tomorrow :) I just went over to windows to do something and it left me very

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,541 ✭✭✭anothernight

Yes, it's wrong. Brown sauce is wrong. Eww
    Awww he's like a child!

My mum made me do something on my sister's windows-based laptop. It was a 'kill me' moment.
There should be some sort of compensation for ex windows users. Then again, if it didn't exist, my boyfriend wouldn't be making money fixing computers and life wouldn't be quite this good >_>

So you're killing the windows partition yeah? What has it done this time?

I do like brown sauce and chef is above the rest after having it again recently >_> and it does smell amazing but it just ruins the flavour of the rest of your food and I just can't buy stuff like that that you could possibly put on every meal or I would.

I normally just access windows through wine but I couldn't find something so I just restarted into windows to make it easier, just freezing all over the place and being insanely slow and so many pop-ups arrrrrr so I'm gona kill it and all the other weird partitions that I have.
