I find your comment quite rude, that I am moaning about having to take two weeks off work! I was clearly expressing that it is terrible that we have to take time off from our full time jobs, at our own expense!! But thank you for advice.. I have already contacted HQ they have been nothing but helpful..
What did HQ say to u Busy Girl ?
They said that I would be put on another course when I could get time off!! Very nice and very understanting about the whole thing! There is no plans for another intake until the summer in June or july.. They are not really sure!! Are you due to join us on the 9th in templemore??
Ya I am heading up on Wednesday 8 th, I was talking to a guard reserve yesterday and he told me that he had the same problem when he was training, and they accommodated him, but that it's more difficult now due to cuts to budgets, I have been waiting ages for this and want to get started now not in the summer, I think I feel a few sick days coming up

Don't mean to jump in but your dead right take this time as you can get the training over with in two weeks wud be better in the long run, plus you will have no more waiting around to do. I was only told by HQ that my BR checks and security have now been sent off. I'm hoping this is it and now it's the waiting game. How long have you been waiting. :-) :-)0 -

I have been just 2 years waiting, I've had to pull out of the last two intakes, due to work!! The reason I've been waiting so long is because I lived aboard in a few different country's, there was problems with my BR checks!! Trying to get clearance from the police forces in these country's nightmare!!!0 -

Yea so similar situation. How long did it take to get called for medical after having ur interview with the super. If u don't mind me asking.Busy Girl, I have four people on mine that have records two from years ago and two recents but i dont talkj to these people do u think that this would hold me up to much.
You are better off been as honest as you can with these things!! I myself had people with records on my BR!! My brother has graced a few cells in his day, and I was asked about a cousin of mine who I have't seen or spoke to in years!! , the superintendent asked me about this, all I could say was I knew nothing about this, and I don't follow in their footsteps!! 0 -

I had my meeting about four weeks ago, I suppose it's all abou the checks completed, and then hopefully no probs then see wa happens hopefully not waiting long. The checks I believe is the longest and can take up to four months to be completed.0 -
