Got a call from a friend at 8:30am this morning asking would I mind helping to get tickets for the gig (many hands and all of that!). Got to work at 8:50, turned on computer. Was waiting for it to 'warm up' still so rang the Ticketmaster line at 8:59 - held for a few seconds, got through and got 4 tickets for the 16th Dec!

Random luck with these things I guess!

You know you are going to have to go now as your name is on the tickets and ID will be requested on entry?

ffs would it not have been just as easy to answer my question rather than reply with a smart arsey answer??

Less of it. Had you read the whole thread and not been a lazy shi t, you would have gotten your answer. Next time read the whole thread before asking a question that more than likely has been answered.

Ticketmaster have an automated message on their phone line, stating that if credit card holder is not attending concert, they must still present their credit card with tickets in person on night of concert and then their party will be allowed entry. I am delighted, as I purchased tickets for my daughters and don't want to have to sit through concert. I can now give the ticket to one of their friends, but will still have to go along with them on the night.

okay sorry if i come across as rude but its really annoying to see so many people say things like "she BETTER add another date or shes a total b*tch, doesn't she know how many fans she has!!" etc. are you serious? this girl is 16 years old.. she doesn't owe anyone anything.
she is not just coming to ireland and the uk, she is touring america too. have you guys looked at the dates? shes touring the USA from september 14 to december 2, then she has to come over to europe and do more dates..the girl deserves a break! shes staying here for 4 days for a break/to celebrate her birthday and i don't think she HAS to add another date just because she has time off!

anyways to the people asking if she'll add another date..none of us know. it is possible but personally i don't think she will, and if there is another date added i think it may be a belfast date.

as for the "they shouldn't have so many presales, thats why we didn't get tickets!" people.. the o2 got 10% and i think AE cardholders got 5%, that still leaves a lot of tickets for general release.

theres still tickets for most of the uk dates available if anyone doesn't mind flying over there :)

i was fortunate to get tickets this morning on ticketmaster thank god, that was after failing to get them wed on o2 site. My sister is now looking for looking for tickets, i searched on google and found a couple of websites selling tickets, one a mileycyruslive website ??? any one had any experience with this crowd ? and how can they sell tickets, i thought only ticketmaster were the offical site and any other sales would be cancelled  you cant sell the tickets on to third parties so is this possible ?

don't trust buying tickets from those sites.. people are selling them on ebay too but ticketmaster is the only place selling them officially, so those sites are selling tickets they bought from TM and will have their names printed on them, you won't get into the venue with those tickets. ticketmaster even said on their site they will cancel the tickets and you won't get refunded

they really are. its not ticketmaster's decision, its Miley's management who organized the anti-tout measures to be so strict.
her last tour in the usa (miley/hannah best of both worlds tour) had the same rules as this tour and it worked pretty successfully.

i was fortunate enough to get tickets today. i queued from 7 but my friend was able to get tickets on the internet for me. they were sold out soon after. however.. even though she is playing 2 gigs, she is here for 4 days. people are expecting her to play another date because she is here anyway, but she is here on holiday aswell. people are quick to forget she is a 16 year old and if you look at her tour dates she has 2 day breaks between most gigs. i cant see her doing anymore dates.

She is not a 16 year old, she is a commodity that can make someone lots of money. If there is the chance of making more money by sticking on an extra date then they will. I really don't belive that the 16 year old that may well exist behind all the marketing hype is looking for a "holiday" in Ireland either, it's not exactly a dream destination for a weathly teenager to go to in December.

Haha lovely. I'm sure Billy Ray is cursing she wasn't twins. Actually why doesn't she ask her friend Hannah Montana to do a few shows for her? :pac:

Would be very surprised if there was any gig added. Friday the 18th is the biggest night out in Dublin in the forthcoming months with the Christmas party season (work) coming to an end and you'll have the likes of The Pogues etc.., being booked into The 02 around the time, along with other bands.

From the live nation/harry crosbie point of view aside from the actual ticket sales your not going to make much money off the Miley Cyrus crowd from your concession stands. Drinkers around Christmas is what you'll want filling The 02 on that night not kids.

I stand to be correct though.

but the correct number to enter is 01273576445

this will get you tickets - BUT
you need an AMEX card to purchase.

I had 5 minutes to purchase 4 tickets in Block A row 21 this afternoon and even had someone willing to let me use their AMEX but with the restrictions i didn't risk it 350 euros is too much to risk on blagging the staff of the o2 to let me and my daughters in.

my daughters are sad that we didn't get tickets but they would be devastated if we got tickets and went to the gig but didn't get in cause we cheated.

you would have been able to do this but you would need your friend/owner of the amex card to go to the venue with you and take the credit card/id with them.

So what happens if the cardholders buys tickets for someone as a gift?
the cardholder has to go with the person/people to the venue, take the credit card they used for the purchase and government id (driver license or passport) and it shouldn't be a problem then, they just need the cardholder to be present

I was doing security for tickets being sold today in Cork, there were around 10 people waiting outside when I arrived at 12 o clock last night.

By 9 o clock, there were 75+ most of whom came after 730.

There were people who didn't get tickets that were queuing up.

A good few more could have gotten tickets IMO, if one woman had just taken separated tickets today and called the O2 in 2 weeks to try to get them moved together. But she didn't want to, so she then got wednesday tickets and starrted asking anyone she could for a swap.

This took around 20 mins altogether so I reckon she stopped around 10 people getting tickets. I felt bad for the people who had been there since 5 am.

I would think it's highly unlikely that names and ID's will be checked up there, it could happen, but I doubt it will.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but they aren't tickets to the gigs just souvenirs.
Miley Cyrus tickets are souvenir tickets and as such will be released approximately 1-2 weeks before the concert

Tom Waites did a similar thing...... I've seen grown men crying 'cos they forgot to bring their photo ID on the night of the gig.

However - Miley Cyrus crowd will be screaming crying kids..... which means Joe Duffy and all the radio stations will be getting calls from upset parents who tried to get tickets by unofficial means (touts/resellers).

THE TERMS OF SALE FOR THE TICKETS WERE CLEAR THAT THE PERSONS NAME ON THE TICKETS MUST BE ATTENDING THE GIG (must be there with the original photo ID/Credit Card used to purchase the tickets)

but the ones for sale on mileycyruslive.net are not gig tickets and they dont look anything like proper tickets it says in the terms and conditions that they are only souveniers and you may not gain entrance to the concert with them....i dont think it would be worth the risk....

you can't buy tickets at ur local TM agent for someone else i'm afraid!

whoever is going needs to get the tickets themselves.. ie. if your aunt wants togo with her daughter/son she needs to go into her local ticketmaster and bring her ID and CC with her, her name will be printed on the tickets and she'll need her ID and CC on the day of the concert too

however if you book online, just get her CC details and make sure you use her name for the tickets and it shouldn't be a problem!

yesterday at my local ticketmaster they told us to write the name of the person going to the concert on a bit of paper if they werent there and you could buy tickets for them....but they only sold 10 tickets from the shop
