It would yeah, but the sub bass is not very prominent to me so I think that a kick with a long transient could fill out those low frequencies a bit better, and just high-pass the bass a bit. Just a thought anyway.

Yeah, a longer transience would fill it out a bit alright. Perhaps it might be worth experimenting with some reverb on the kick as an alternative? You (not you personally, this is someone else's track after all :p) could always filter the reverb so it's not too muddy and it would add a bit more presence to the kick.

I've changed the kick a bit. It should hopefully sound better now.

I've been having a lot of trouble with the auld ear holes recently so I'm going to be taking an indefinite break from tinkering around with tunes to see if I can get them back up to scratch. Cheers to anyone who has given me feedback over the last while, it's all been much appreciated. I had sort of finished off to tunes with a bit of a more old school feel so I think I'll stick them up here.

Sorry to hear that man. Main thing is to take care of the hearing though. Hopefully you'll be back on the scene in the not too distant future.

cool but bit underwhelming, maybe abit of overall mastering would give it a proper punch it needs

I quite like that actually. Kinda like Amon Tobin.

It was on my steam the other day bu only got a chance to listen to it now.

Sounds great, real nice groove to it

Always room for a bit of Aretha :)
Nice groove on the bassline and I like the hi-hat loop although the I think the quality of the sample isn't great. Sounds a bit 'washy'
Nice asian-style bells towards the end as well.
I was surprised not to have a kick come in at some stage. It gives the impression of a really long into without it.

Thanks for the feedback. I know what you mean about the loop, i'll see if I can do anything more with it...Yea I thought i'd just leave out the kick all together, kinda like the sound of it that way :)

I suppose the benefit of that is you can just lash in a 4/4 kick and boom! Club Edit version :D

Wouldn't be mad on the clap, think it may be a little on the loud side as well. Agree with what was said about that hi-hat loop. Also sounds like you possibly have a little reverb on the clap and none on the hi-hats, if that's the case, I Would try to sort it out, but I'm not sure.

Really nice stuff, If it was me I would've left out the vocal on the first track.

Second track is my favorite, I love that kind of stuff. Kick could be a little bit louder or many just a tad more low end is needed.

2 new ones this weekend. Feedback welcome.

Really like the synth elements in this. Good mix with the arp and the pads.
I think the kick and the bassline are clashing a bit in terms of frequency though, sounds a tad muddy.
I like the vocal. It adds a nice bit of mustery to the track.

Wan't mad on this one as it's a bit too retro for me :p
Having said that, the snare is nice and snappy and the vocal-esque pad is nice.
I also like the reverbed drum fills.

    Productive weekend :)

I f*ckin hate that song so it's a testament to your work that I wanted to listen to this all the way through :D
Really like the gritty vocal effect at 0.32.
The kick sounds overworked though. Is there a lot of compression gain on it?
Funky bassline and 90s style organ stabs. Thumbs up.

Haha cheers man. The kick has some eq, compression and the drive has been increased, it's to make it sound gritty and sound like its slightly distorted to give a garage feel. That's what I was going for anyway.

Great mix, I love the drum beat. Did you do this from scratch or is there a loop in there? Either way its awesome and just the type of housey/garagey beat Im trying to master but always end up putting a snare n hat loop on my kick.

Hey guys, it would be amazing if you can take just a few minutes to listen to my new track 'Virus', a House track.

Thank you a lot in advance.

I'm not really a fan of the whole big room house thing but there are good ideas in that track. I'm not sure YouTube does justice to the audio quality though. To me the bass synth after the drop isn't big enough. I think you should layer it with another brighter synth line that has a nice reverb on it. The kick could do with beefing up a bit as well. There's more energy in the piano sections where I think the mix is better.
