Theres a good few actually, all in the lightest weight categories. Ger McNamara has a similar squat 360kg @ 75kg.

i was gonna say that myself.
ger mac has done more than that in training.
    400kg or so i think

That gives me a nice excuse: I can't squat 3/4/5x BW because I'm too tall/heavy.

Nah! The heavy guys can still do 3x and nearly 4x.

Oh god, I have never wanted a sandwich (since giving up bread) more than right now.
    Epic hangover isn't helping

Looks good, I have fried sandwiches before, put in ham & cheese in the middle and put mayo on the outside slices and fry in a dry non-stick pan. The oil in the mayo crisps it up and the egg cooks sort of like french toast. You can get nonstick black "magic sheets" in supermarkets near the tinfoil, you can lay this on a pan and sprinkle on cheese and lay the bread on top, enough oil falls off the cheese so when you flip it over it crisps the other side nicely.

Or make a ham and cheese sandwich, soak it in a beaten egg then fry it :pac:

Looks tasty alright, he's an amateur though for not frying a couple of eggs to dip it in.

    Epic lunch today.

    Tin of large light tuna*
    1 onion
    1 egg
    Peri Peri sauce with lime

    Beat the egg,
Dice the onion and add it to the egg
drain the tune and break up with a fork, add to egg/onion
    Mix it all up
    Add peri peri
    mix again,
transfer to non stick pan. I was hoping for kinda fish pattys, but pan was too small and I was late for work, so ended up tossing it for a pan fried tuna salsa.

There was a bit left over after filling my thermos, threw than on my morning french omlette. nyom nyom nyom. Waiting for lunch since i finished brekkie

*i've no idea what light tune is, but its lower in cals than the reg tuna in springwater, prob leanest meat on the fish only. I'm on a deficit so was trying to kep it clsoe to 200cals. I'm sure plenty here could get away with tuna olive oil and 2 eggs.

You're not seriously comparing Fedosienko's walked out, single ply sunk in squats to multiply, non-walked out with questionable depth squats are you???

Last time I heard a number like that it turned out to be something like 240kg bar weight with like 160kg of bands and chains or something. And it was a training lift, so really means jack sh!t when compared to a national championship competition lift.

ha, i remember someone on bb.com pl section was saying that konstantinov could probably pull over 1000 pounds now because someone posted a vid of him doing 800 straight weight with like 200 in bands.

Could somebody who competes in PL comps tell me if the above would of been a proper DL.
He sort of walks it up his thighs at the end on the 400 lift. Is that allowed?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 479 ✭✭_JOE_

The 400kg deadlift was hitched with a capital H! Regardless of technique, he had straps on his wrist which are a no no!

the number 1 is myprotien's way of telling you how awesome your order was

really strong lift but it would get red lights in competition, you cant rest the bar on your thighs (even momentarily) or hitch the lift and also he used wrist straps, and depending on the organisation he might be cut down for not locking it fully at the top (hard to tell if he locked out fully from that angle but it does seem like he did but have to be more level with him to see for sure) but mad strong lifting esp for a 20yo

All of those faults would surely be balanced out by the quality victory dance at the end though.

lol ah yeah u'd nearly give it to him for the dance alone

It says he's competing in strongman doesn't it? All the above complaints don't apply in that case.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,024 ✭✭✭d'Oracle

Also, its not a competition and he just pulled 400kg.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,179 ✭✭✭FunkZ

I pull my willy several times a day and it weighs more than that, I'm the worlds strongest man :P

And peeps, get over to the nutrition forum and check out Khannies cauliflower rice!

the man asked a question and i was just answering it in the context of a powerlifting competition and not taking a single thing from the lift cos theres no doubt but its some lifting by any one and esp a 20 yr old.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,165 ✭✭✭✭brianthebard

It would be fine in a strongman comp though which is what the guy is training for, it doesn't matter if it would pass in a powerlifting comp or not.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 64 ✭✭Frank McGivney

ah yeah sure would , it amazing strength, wonder has he competed in strongman

but that wasnt the question, no one asked about a strongman competition...

The question is irrelevant cos he is training, surely hitch or no hitch he will get stronger from it.

Also, I want a pit to train in.
