    JOB VACANCIES AT CORONATION STREET

    Just spotted this now, http://coronationstreetupdates.blogspot.ie/2013/06/itv-job-vacancy-storyliners-at.html

    Time to shine folks!!!:)

*Must have experience writing tv storylines*

FFS, I have been watching coronation street and numerous other TV dramas for nearly 30 years. No wonder they keep running the same stories if they are hiring out of the same pool of writers the whole time.

Why aren't Gar-eh and Izz-eh camped out in the hospital? The only one that seems to actually care about the bay-beh is Tin-eh. (I'm only on the first Monday episode so far), but also for the few days after he was born. Crazy.

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has revealed more details of the drama
in store when his character David Platt discovers Nick and Kylie's shocking
    secret.

David is still blissfully unaware that his wife's unborn baby may
not be his after Kylie and Nick had a one-night stand at Christmas.

However, the truth is finally revealed to David later this month when he

overhears Kylie and Gail discussing the secret.

    Completely stunned by

what he's hearing, David keeps quiet and goes ahead with a short holiday
    that
Kylie has planned for the two of them. While away on the break, David
    then
contemplates suicide in his desperate state.

    Shepherd told TV
Times: "He stands on the edge of a cliff, closes his eyes and thinks about
jumping, but in that moment, Max calls and tells David he loves him. David
realises that he wants to be with Max and Kylie.

    "They called me and
said, 'How are you with vertigo?' Luckily I'm not afraid of heights, but at one
point I had to stand on the edge, close my eyes and rock back and forth. I had a
harness on my ankle, but I didn't want to go over and bang my head on the
    cliff."

After deciding not to jump, a vengeful David hatches a secret
    plan to destroy Nick's life.

Shepherd revealed: "[He gets up to] all
sorts. At one point, he smashes up his flat with a sledgehammer. They built a
set for me to smash. They even bought a flat-screen 40-inch TV for me to
    batter."

He added: "[David's] very clever. He will ruin Nick's home, his
business, his marriage, but he makes it look as if somebody else is responsible.
At the end of each day, David is there for Nick to have a drink with and be best
    mates."

Yes! I totally agree! They were in the feckin' pub and their baby in special care:confused:...can you credit it?!! They popped in for a visit and left. Normal parents wouldn't want to leave his side...Jeeez!! My child was in special care when he was born and at 4months and wild horses couldn't have dragged me away from his side:(.

Me too, really sick of the story at this stage tbh. Sick of most storylines on Corrie at the minute.

I'd say if he tries to kill Dev then whether he succeeds or not it will be obvious something was off. Besides there are no secrets in soap land - every secret eventually comes out.

The only storyline that I'm kind of interested in atm is Carla's and Rob's. Plus can't wait for the one with David! The rest of it is just booooring.

He's a quiet young fella, I wonder will Beth drag it out of him?
Poor Dev will be gone demented by the time Karl gets found out. He does look like Columbo in the raincoat though :D

    :D

I doubt it. As much as I like Beth, Craigs rat has more emotional intelligence than her. This could be a pivotal storyline for Craig who hasn't had any good storylines yet, and who tracey made some disparaging comments about. He also doesn't have any friends on the street. If he spills the beans he might become more popular.
