He came in last night while I was watching it and was all; Is that The Man From U.N.C.L.E.? :eek: How the hell can you take this seriously? The Man From U.N.C.L.E. would not want to go into business with Roy Cropper!

I've come to really despise Carla from this storyline and I know from reading other boards that I'm not alone in that. I think it was a terrible idea for the writers to link the rape storyline to the affair storyline. I know soaps are primarily entertainment but they do have some degree of social responsibility and making a rape victim so unsympathetic seems very irresponsible.

I kind of like the rape/affair storyline. You see her motivation more in why she would be willing to push for Peter, it was a time when she really needed some love and support, and making her so unsympathetic gives the story some depth as people (okay, Corro people!) are willing to disbelieve her rape allegation because of her personality and her actions in other areas of her life. I actually thought it was a bit courageous of the writers not to stereotype a rape victim as helpless or innocent.

Agree. Eileen is a good character but the fireman and story line sucks.

I felt that maybe they shouldn't have shown a rapist getting off scot free, it may put possible victims off reporting assaults:(.

I don't think he rapes her, just shows her his true colours and frightens her. I think in the next week or two she discovers he is seeing someone else and was in fact using her for the respectability she would give him during the trial.

I think Frank's mother kills him she finds out he did rape Carla and this lead to her husband having a heart attack and dying and there has been no mention of any of the main cast leaving

That's what I think too. Unless it's Frank's new girlfriend who does it. There was a picture of him and her in one of the papers recently and the woman was the same as the company owner who Carla was with at the start of this week, who believed her about the rape. It would be strange of her to suddenly start dating Frank, unless she's some sort of vigilante who goes after rapists.:cool:

This one's very spoilery so I'm going to cover most of it. It's about Frank's murder.

FRANK Foster’s killer will try to murder two more Corrie residents in a dramatic cover-up attempt.

In shock scenes to be screened next month six suspects will be put in the frame for killing the rapist in cold blood.

And in a sensational twist, two of the other suspects’ lives will be left in the balance after the culprit’s secret is exposed.

We can reveal the Corrie Six are Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor, 48), Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell, 47), Anne Foster (Gwen Taylor, 72), Carla Connor (Alison King, 38), Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh, 35) and Peter Barlow (Chris Gascogne, 44).

They all have a motive for wanting Frank (Andrew Lancel, 41) dead.

Sally is horrified when she discovers he’s been having an affair behind her back.

She tells him: “What the hell’s going on, Frank? I loved you. How could you do this to me?”

Then Kevin is in the frame when cops discover someone tampered with the brakes of Frank’s car just days after it was in his garage for a service.

And Frank’s mum Anne is stunned when she learns he did rape Carla and is determined to punish her lad.

Anne tells Carla: “I know Frank raped you. But I swear I only found out after the trial. I heard him on the phone to you taunting you about it. Frank was lying to me when he was guilty all along.”

Carla wants revenge after losing the rape trial and then her factory.

She will fight with Frank. Then fearing he’s going to rape her again, she flees the factory leaving her bag behind.

Police later believe it is proof she was there when he was killed.

Her lover Peter will then try to save her skin by walking into the police station and confessing: “Carla Connor didn’t kill Frank Foster, I did!”

And finally, Michelle is put in the frame when police discover she stole vital contracts from Frank to help Carla keep the factory.

A source said: “They all have a motive, but who has the guts to do it?

“This will be one of Corrie’s biggest whodunnits ever. Fans will be shocked when they watch it unfold.”

I could be wrong, but I thing that Kevin did not make as big an idiot out of Sally as Frank did. With Rosie gone, she will be more alone than she ever was, at least with Kevin she still had her friends, but the way she has behaved lately, she will be left with no-one.

Little Simon character is absolutely brilliant .

As regards who the killer is, my guess is that Carla, Sally and possibly his mother are too obvious. So its a toss up between Michelle, Kevin or Peter.Maybe peter??.Dont know, hope not for Simons sake:(

wow! look how much Rosie has changed, this is the actress Helen Flanagan arriving on the cobbles aged ten I am not a great fan of Rosies character but I had a lump in my throat watching the scenes with her and Jason tonight
