I presume your subscribed to birdie golf tips then!

The what golf tips? I make my own tips. I back only in the USA where there is high liquidity. If you want to talk golf PM me, because its my favourite sport and my passion. I backed Laird and Gay last week - nothing doing though with either of them in the SBS.

SEORG - thanks for that PM, very interesting! I wish I had thought of that top 10 thing because it looks a nice bit of value. Good luck with your bets mate.

Often golf has some good form lines. I had Gay last week and saw him backed from 60s into 33s before the event even started this week. I hadnt backed him this week, but wish I had because that would have been a great trade for me!

So many trading chances in the USA - all the best.

First Avenue ran a game race, traded at even money myself but it went as low as 1.90. So well done to all those who played in running to secure a nice return on the day. Lets see what Tom is up to tomorrow!

    Terrible return for Segal.

Golfing, don't take this the wrong way but I really don't need to read how clever you are trading during running on this thread.

Sorry mike65, was only meant to be saying well done to those who traded in running.

I take it you didnt, but if you had taken the 8s and then traded at even money you would be well up. Its just a tactic I sometimes use. Obviously useful on days like these where the pure followers do their doh, but the traders win nice amounts of cash. HOWEVER, had all the tips won (edit:sp. one) and people traded they would have lost out on potential profits. So, if you dont trade I 100% respect that.

Once again, sorry for entering into some betting debate. I know some people just like to follow Segal and that is that. Maybe for those less used to betting they would consider trading now they have read this discussion.

well i mean once "Big Ven" had said she'd been unable to get any speed work into her horses Aachen went on the move Outwards.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 478 ✭✭Seanohea

Yeah, listening to Venetia Williams talking about Aachen on channel 4 before the race didn't inspire any confidence whatsoever, would have laid at that stage if I had the chance. I really thought First Avenue had the race in the straight, pity he didnt find much off the bridle.
Hopefully tom has a winner among some the decent Irish racing 2mrw, I'm going to Fairyhouse myself so it would great if he tips a winner there.

I reckon you've got a great chance of a paper and/or site tip there tommorrow looking at the overall picture.

Tom Segal in the paper today:

    Special Envoy
    2.10 Ffos las 1pt win

    Gold Award
    2.59 Ffos las 1pt win

Hopefully there's a tip from pricewise extra for fairyhouse.
I backed Gold Award last night on paddypower, there's been good word for it lately from a lot of commentators, got him at 7/2, it's 5/2 this morning. Nicky henderson's horses are in great form lately and I'm nearly expecting the Tom Segal Double to be pulled off.

Can't have either of them to be honest, both have questions to answer and the prices don't reflect that. (watch them hose up)

Not sure why, but those two races are still not available on WH and ladbrokes took ages to put them up while all the other later races werre up.

Is that the RP effect at work?

Fantastic, 2 tips at fairyhouse today. Here's hoping at least 1 of them win

Is it me getting more critical or is TS a bit desperate? Strictly minimum stakes for both I think.

Gleanncairm looks hopeful alright, but I've seen him pull out even more head scratching tips last summer that went on to win

I cant see that Segal is under any pressure to tip winners. One thing though worth thinking about is that he had given 2 tips in the paper and 2 on PWE when he really only has to give 1 on each. Can we read anything into that?
