I didnt, but I like Cheif Junior and Dort Tranquille for today at Southwell. Took 2/1 and 6/4 this morning.

    Anyone like anything today?

    Accum on Hendersons best bets

Arquetta, Benartic, Line Freedom, Dort Tranquille.

Wish I'd noticed Poppy come running had a 7lbs claimer on with Line Freedom carrying a penalty of 7lbs.

Theres a f***** STONE in the difference!

I had to take £50 at 5/1 in running on that!

Lovely little top up to my main bet at 6/4, which returns best odds 13/8.

Cant be more pleased given the weather all around the country can you.

Ha good man. :) Started a little thread myself and posted him up this morning but didn't go too mad on him, don't like going big on newcomers.

    Orpsie Boy
    6.40 Wolverhampton
    1pt win at 10-1 generally

I thought this would win and backed it at 12/1 this morning - so maybe just maybe Mel can have a winner today

Careful Pizzor, if you just throw darts at the racing page you will eventually hit a winner. (I think we have already established that as the method Mel uses............ yip?)

Segal has tipped Imperial Commander today antepost for the gold cup.
Might be a decent e/w tip if u got a decent price this morning

He's 14/1 with Bet365, but he won't come close in my opinion. Backed him in the last race against Kauto and he was beyond brutal.

I would have totally discounted him in the king George, he's never gone well going right handed. He's always gone well left handed and at Cheltenham, and Cheltenham form is always a big factor. I think he's a fantastic e/w bet, even when Nigel Twiston-Davies was out of form around Cheltenham time last year Imperial Commander still won the Ryanair Chase.
The only issue I think is his stamina, hopefully he proves there should be no doubts regarding his stamina

I would be careful with that one because I think there is a bit of a history where a horse comes up against a top class one like Kauto, runs him close and is never the same horse again.

I'm not being picky here, but I would imagine for every example of this, there would be 50 examples of the opposite (ie horses running well against top class horses being good themsevles).

I agree, I wouldnt read too much into Pointbreak's theory. I have evidence which proves his theory wrong to be totally honest.

It can be the case that after a horse is given a hard race they are not the same again, but Kauto was given a much harder race than Imperial in my opinion, and I have been racing for many years so I consider myself a good judge.

Imperial is not the type of horse who would have taken the race badly either, and would certainly thrive on the battle with Kauto.

Well if there is, show and tell.

Bear in mind that Imperial was rated a stone and a half inferior and he got within a nose with over 20 lengths back to the 3rd.

Very unlucky for Orpsie Boy. Shame Mel didnt go each way, like myself.

12/1 and a nice profit on the day again. :D

e/w at 12s is no shame esp if in a e/w patent with Hugh Taylors picks.

Wolvers 4.50 Muktasb, the only one moving on the most backed window. Shortened on PP from 5.00 to 3.50

Still rising, that must be the one.

Lovely win today. More money for my back pocket! Three very nice winning days in a row. I am collecting the cash! Thank you very much bookmakers!

Nicely green book on the golf too having backed Pat Perez at 65s traded him last night at as low as 24s! Webb Simpson also backed at 170 and 160 and traded off at 130, as low as 100s!

    I love this game.
