It was on the radio this morning, it seems RTE are axing the Seoige show, what'll the two of them do now? :)

    :eek::eek:

I can put carpet in the TV room now!!!

    Dump the lino.

Yeah Síle looks good in that picture. Before she stacked on the weight, and got her crooked smile.

What will we do without the recession clinic. I'd say that Brian Lenihan is disappointed.

I'd straighten it up with a clip of a shiny bellend.

More laddishness. You should have been watching Telefis Eireann in the '70s. You're clearly the free-love promoting sort who would pull themselves senseless over the unclothed heifers in Mart and Market or even that sly snap of a Ban Garda in the background of a robbed hammer drill in Mullingar on Garda Patrol. They probably need to coat the cats up down your way in case you get the horn up on them too.

    fancy a ride then?

I don't have an opinion, but..Grainne will host Prime Time, Mary O Callahan will go to Late Late and Sile will present some light entertainment fluff on a Sunday night.

Betcha it's Gráinne for the Late Late

Seriously now- what's this bullying scandal with Blah-nad?

Dying to hear the goss on that one. Id say she'd be viscious alright!

Honestly can't tell. Apparently Sheana has been took down with that vertigo which takes us all unpleasantly from time to time.Rumours that Blathnaid is pushing for Sheana to complete the rest of the Spring Season on the Afternoon Show from the roof of RTE to take advantage of the pleasant weather are completely untrue.

if anything needs to be axed it's midday on tv3, it's awful.

Bring back Derek & Thelma I say!

Live At 3 rocked. They could make it more contemporary and call it Live@3. The kids would love it then.

If that's not possible, I vote for re-runs of "Where In The World" and Glenroe.

The front row on Live at 3! :pac:

Or the classic - Live at 3, Dead at 4!
if anything needs to be axed it's midday on tv3, it's awful.

Unfortunately TV3 are adding another Daytime TV show before it with the same formula, That wagon Cybill from Xposé and Martin King are presenting.

Both are pretty poor but of the two I think the Afternoon Show is the better show, seems to have more varied items and I like the cookery part, though I can't effing stand Blaithnaid Ni Chofaigh. I think Trevor Keegan's better than Sheana Keane.

IMHO Grainne Seoige is a dire light entertainment presenter, she's a newsreader first and foremost. Sile is a better presenter with more personality, although not exceptional.

I'm surprised that axing Seoige was the decision, thought it would have been the perfect opportunity to wipe the alleged bullying scandal from the Afternoon Show under the carpet.

If Grainne lost weight I would have no problem with her being on the LL

I think Sile's figure is amazing. But the two of them are the stiffest and most boring presenters RTE have.

And who wants to tune in at 4pm to listen to Grainne and a couple of rent-a-journos lecture us about crime? And Christ that "Battle of the Books" thing was tragic. Two total pains shouting over each other, making you want to avoid both books like the plague. And I lost count of the amount of times a Seoige would say "We're running out of time".

Quite like the Afternoon show though because it's more varied and Trevor is a bloody natural for these types of programmes.

Actually I never watched it as much when Sheena was on. She always looked like she was listening to her earpiece for instructions. Not relaxed at all. Definately not up for a giggle.

Trevor literally refers to the fact that the producer is talking in his earpiece all the time, I think he's pretty awkward on the show...

agreed, he's dreadfull. The whole gay "love me" cos my mammy thinks I'm fab thing sucks. Plus he has the talent of a sheep.

Sheep everywhere will be offended by that comment. ;)

The problem with Grainne is she wants to be seen as a serious journo, like The Plank...so when they try "light entertainment" every fiber of their being screams....oh my god i'll never be respected in the "industry" again, ergo....wooden performances and stiff planks on these entertainment shows.

Sile...she only got the job because of here sister, no doubt the muppets at RTE will line up sundry other jobs for her to keep up the facials and makeup artists.

The thought of Grainne taking over Prime Time if Miriam gets the Late Late gig terrifies me

I have heard, on pretty good authority, that she's incapable of going off script, if its not written down for her by a producer, forget about it.

Not what you want for the country's main current affairs programme

They played highlights of all the best things that happened on the show and nothing happened except for the ginger from Eastenders playing guitar.

What a load of fun
