Think this has been discussed here a few times already.
I'm sure Puma are delighted now that Ireland are GS champions. Also, some of their jerserys aren't bad.

Yep, similar thread here. Any links to nice PUMA jerseys? I could only find this horrible effort:

    puma-bath-rugby-home-shirt--short-sleeved--womens-.jpg

Baths jersey is pretty decent. This is a ladies version or something.....but you get the idea.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,263 ✭✭✭✭Eoin

Yep, that's a ladies top. I'll just have to wait and see what it looks like in real life - it looks way better in Bath's colours than the one I linked to. I don't think you can beat the traditional Canterbury jerseys though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,530 ✭✭✭dub_skav

Not a huge fan of what Canterbury have done with the jerseys over the years - didn't like the white underarms or the thin white hoops on the sleeves.
Nike did pretty good stuff with the Irish jersey and before that they were traditional plain affairs.

I think the Puma jerseys could be very nice, just depends what shade of green they go with

I'm really not mad about the dark green. They've done the same with the french blue, its hard to tell the difference when both sides are dark

I think the New Ireland jerseys would be more represatentive of these type of shirts used in 08/09.

Looks more like a soccer jersey if ya ask me.
If it had the right colour and proper logo's i dont think it would be bad at all.
Hate those jerseys made from polyester, they stink when you have em on ya in the pub for a few hours, the reason I never wear a soccer jersey other than when Im actually playing it.

If you draged it behind your car from the RDS to Thomond Park it would still look better than the new Leinster one.

Looks like middle linebacker material, I reckon!

I think that's photoshopped - O'Driscoll's hair is shorter these days.

Hell, why don't you just buy it now!..The irish jersey, brought to you via Saint Helen's RL, oh the rich irony....It's a straight and rather clumsy crib of the saints 09 away jersey,as I've said already....if you like it you can get it direct from their site at a knock down price.

yeah, i did a nike a puma and an addidas one based on other jerseys they do but i think the real design is gonna be pretty awful

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 943 ✭✭✭OldJay

but i think the real design is gonna be pretty awful
I do laugh to myself when I read the likes of this.
Nobody here has a clue what the designs look like, what the fabric used and what the supporters version will look like.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 249 ✭✭tonsiltickler

IMO they should be like the All blacks jersey, really simple, no stupid printed on logos, coz they look awful when they start to crack after a few washes( from a supporters pov) and for the love of god i hope they dont use shiny lycra material.....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,362 ✭✭✭Trotter

I also want to make a plea on behalf of those of us who've never ever looked down to see a six pack. Please.. Think of those men who eat crisps for Ireland. No to skin tight jerseys. Down with this sort of thing.

Crisps can be eaten for Ireland? And here I am busting my ass in the gym trying to get fit for the new rugby season!!
