Try turning off your PC. I find that helps :P

No it's not that. I'm just not tired. I was up until about 8 this morning so I slept loads during the day..... and now I'm nocturnal.

Just as well I'm not working.

Ah ok, that sort of non-sleeping. I have no cure

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,195 ✭✭✭✭Michellenman

You're of no use to me so.

Well I'm just back from The Blizzards in the Courtyard at the festival and also Zinc afterwards. So tired.

PrivateEye is not alone NOT a 'zinc fan' but often used to talk out loud and while quite sober about the idea of helping the oZone quite literally 'die in a fire'.

I haven't been into new oZone, and I've no intention of going in either.

Well I'm just back from The Blizzards in the Courtyard

Further proof we are everywhere, if any were needed. MASSIVE ONLINE COMMUNITY.
Probably at least 20 of us there.

I was at lowlands festival during August last year. There was about 20 of us or so and we had a code word that we'd shout if any of us got lost or anything so we could find the rest of our group. We need one of these. :p

Our code word was 'senior hurling' which works well when you're in Holland but I can't imagine it being particularly imaginative here.

Are the Blizzards not one of those uber terrible bands like the Coronas or some such crap?

    Yes.

As far as the bland 'we play your S.U and your community centre for the right fee' circuit goes The Blizzards ar e the best of a bad bunch. They're absolutely nothing new, they basically do the same thing the likes of The Coronas do but with a slight Ska tinge to it all. Nothing to write home about to be honest, 2 or 3 extremely catchy tunes and a by and large forgettable catalogue beyond that.

    Exactly.

Off topic: My mam never knew the lyrics to their songs but would try and sing along anyway.

She came out with this one day : 'Touch me Touch me, I'm adopted' :pac:

Going to see DIPLO, drinking bottles of wine by the Canal until sunrise, walking back to a mates in Stillorgan on a lovely quiet morning with the electronic sounds still flying around in your head, and spending today relaxing in a park doing nothing but kicking a football equals...

Saw Diplo at Lowlands last year. It was actually savage. Well worth going to.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,283 ✭✭✭PrivateEye

Was about a 97 on the 1 to 100 scale!

Was very let down by MSTRKRFT a few weeks back, Girl Talk and Diplo have been the two best gigs in that kind of genre I've seen lately. Mainly went for Fake Blood but Diplo completely owned the place.

Next time you get a chance- GOGOGOGO/
