    Oh no!

I just put the labels on mine, they're all ready for when my girlfriend comes home, so I've written on the labels "Welcome Homebrew" :o

    That's awful links :o

I'm gonna wait and see if mine is even drinkable before thinking about a name :pac:

By the way, did I ever get you to give Steam Powered Giraffe a listen to? Because if not, you should. For science! ;)

I've listened to the couple songs you've posted here, but that's a about it. That song is lovely though, and incredibly tight for a live performance.

What would be a good album to start with?

It's a seriously awesome song, lyrics are quite dark too, and yeah it's quite a performance :D

I've been really enjoying the album MKIII, it's pretty damn solid, couple of songs I don't really care for but otherwise it's fantastic. They're quite the genre-hoppers, which is probably another reason I like them. Give this one a listen:

    Dat bass!

I know, right? They're a really terrific band! Seriously love to see them live sometime, but they've never played in Europe so far.

And I seriously love the whole steampunk robot characters, just awesome :D

Good weekend so far everyone? :D

  • Moderators, Regional East Moderators Posts: 23,202 Mod ✭✭✭✭GLaDOS

Can't complain, it's my last weekend with the girlfriend before she goes traveling, just trying to enjoy it and not dwell on missing her :o

    How's yours links?

Oh well I'm all gearing up to go see my girlfriend for the first time since January. I'm excited and nervous. It's going to be a busy week for me getting ready

Had a sneaky taste of my homebrew there, really happy with it for a first try! Will move it down to the garage to settle for a week or two, but it tastes pretty good as is :)

    Cool! :D

I tasted mine while I was bottling it, the smell out of it was incredible! The citra hops really worked a charm, so once it's been in the bottles a while, I'd say it's gonna be a lovely citrusy fruity pale ale :)

    What is your one?

  • Moderators, Regional East Moderators Posts: 23,202 Mod ✭✭✭✭GLaDOS

Mine's an American pale ale, nice and hoppy :)

Just saw on facebook that The Pint on Eden Quay is closing down =/

Wasn't my favourite venue, but a shame to see it go.

Bit of a shame, I'd gone to a lot of concerts there. The only thing I didn't really like was how narrow it was, but other than that it was a good spot for a show.

Was only at Skyforger on Friday. Always enjoyed gigs in The Pint. Hopefully the new owners will continue hosting gigs there.

I never liked the Pint as a venue, but it's definitely a shame, and if that means less gigs then damn :(

In its latter years, it seemed to be less like a rock/metal venue as it was hosting many dance nights. Eventually DME started pulling their shows from there and moved them to the Voodoo Lounge. That couldn't have been in any way good for business.

It was never an exclusive Rock/Metal venue though. It's just a traditional pub who hosts various events, some of them happen to be Rock/Metal. The Voodoo Lounge reopened with a larger capacity so that probably made sense for DME to host gigs there instead.

Yeah, Voodoo Lounge had a much bigger space. I've only been in there once though, for the Swedish Shining.

It's one hell of a fecking earworm, isn't it? :pac:

This one is pretty amazing too, they got the whole spaghetti western vibe going on in this song:

I also might just have an insanely big crush on bandmember Rabbit :o So there's that :p
