    Hi Guys.

Just started this thread as somewhere for people to just have what's referred to on the web as "off topic banter" :P I you want to have a laugh, get something off your chest, or post anything that you don't think warrants it's own thread, then this is the place for it.

We don't take things too seriously in here, so don't feel all banter has to happen on this thread. I don't mind a bit of "off topic-ness" on the normal threads, but it might be an idea for people to have a bit more social interaction on a thread like this.

If not, I'll unsticky it and let it die a painful death in the "unsuccessful threads abyss" :pac:

I'll get the ball rolling........in 7 hours I fly home from Oz to Dublin for a few weeks.

Which one of you guys has organsied the boards.ie limo and chauffeur to pick me up?

I'll be in transit for the next few days, so if yiz are gonna tun this place into a cesspit of porn links and dodgy online pharmacies while I'm gone, then please keep it semi-legal :P

I have something very serious to get off my chest...

Eddie Murphy to play the Riddler in the next Batman film?? WTF??

Wish I could say I was feeling better having revealed my worries but alas no that won't happen til someone tells me it ain't true :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 128 ✭✭CJTobin

Relax Monkey, it ain't true. The "source" that "leaked" that also claimed to know the ending of the third film, which hasn't even entered pre-production yet, so I think it's safe to rest assured that this whole thing is random speculation at best.

Blah to yizzer nerdy Batman nonsense :P

I'm more concerned about when the A-Team movie is gonna come out :)

Stuck here in singapore airport on my way back to Ireland for a bit. would totally reccomend the airport for a holiday lol

It's enormous, with a cinema and more shops than Grafton street!

The Ting Tings even played here the other day!

There is, however, the downside of a 14 hour flight that i'm staring down the barrell of in 2 hours...booo hisssss

But it's in one of the those mad A380s.....yayyyyyyyy

There are worse ways to spend your time though :D

I'm really not coping with the cold since I've returned to Ireland. So, I went for a run this morning. Thought that would warm me up after a few hundred yards.

5Ks later, exhausted, out of breath and red faced.....but had hardly broken a sweat lol.

I was still cold when I was in the shower afterwards :P

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,778 ✭✭✭tallaght01

ON the issue of the cold....I'm very tempted to try and arrange a bio+med beers.....but I might end up just sitting in by the fire :P

I dunno if strong spirits are advisable.

I mean, judging by home excited they got by the bacteria thread, a few whiskeys might just send them over the edge :P

when will someone find the cure for biochemical pathways. the learning of these things is painful.

also, i reckon studying induces a diabetic state. the constant grazing to raise the blood sugar levels, the constant trips to the little girls room, probably out of sheer boredom than any genuine buildup of urine, the constant thirst coz tof the constant urination and the urge to wander to the kitchen rather than look at notes...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,073 ✭✭✭sam34

lol, tree. it's a case of absolutely anything will do when you're trying to find an excuse not to study, isnt it?
i remember once taking all the lampshades in my house down, and washing them, and then carefully drying the fabricy ones with a hairdryer.... kept me away from the books for a good few hrs!

:D That sounds like me before Christmas! I found I studied better in the library. No kettles in the library.

So, who's up for a Bio+med beers at some point in the next week or 2? Hit me with names on here.

I'd be expecting only about 5 or 6, as we don't have huge numbers of regular posters, but anyone wold be welcome, even if you just lurk, or are only an occasional poster :)

But it could still be a bit of a laugh.

Thanks! I knew becoming a hermit would pay off. But I now realise I will have to be a hermit for another 4 years.. ah well..

With Boards Beers it's always likely that there's an odd person (my bet is on Tallaght) but you just ignore them! ;)

Quick question: When someone who has been in ICU and looses muscle mass what is the correct term for it? I have written in my notes mitosis but that's wrong. Maybe something that sounds similar?

    Thank u.

    bring back cattleprods!

My God! How much i have desired that piece of equipment to assist people to walk!

I favour midweek beers because most people will have some sort of "other plan" over the weekend and thus not suit them.

We can start relatively early too. Sometime next week folks?
