Ideally just do a 12/14 miles in a plain old vanilla LSR, but if there's no one else, I guess I'll just join in with the fancy raspberry ripple LSR the others are doing!

    Hi paulbn,

I just found the link to this thread through the DCM 2012 Novices thread. Is it ok to just show up on Sat morning to join this run?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,687 ✭✭✭tHE vAGGABOND

MissMauer - the whole point of these runs is that anyone can join in, and they usually do :)

What you will find as the summer moves on, is that there will be long runs every weekend, with 2 or 3 different groups naturally forming around specific pace's folks want to run.

Sorry, new to the whole thing! Sounds great, thank you.

Ant interest in a run in the park on saturday? I am thinking about +/-10 miles at anywhere between 8 and 9 min/mile.

Myself and RK might take you up on that offer. Dunshaughlin clashes with Spain vs England (if England come 2nd) so we might leave it altogether.

None of your 9am crap though :p

No worries, I have no preference for 9am, like a lie in. 11am at Garda HQ?

Nope, a friend of mine has a house party that night and I have a fre entry to the enniscorthy Half on sunday that I'll be running as a progression run.

After my last week in Poland I'd be in no shape to take you on Ray. I'd say we'll get our clash at the race series 10k maybe? Low 38s?

Yeah sounds fine. 11am is perfect. I'll be there regardless of whether RK decides to do DS or not.

No, not doing that one myself. Probably won't be in the same race for ages because I'm only running BHAA for a few months after Dunshaughlin, and you'll be marathon training...

Surely you're both doing the Frank Duffy?

I'm only doing the longford half after the 10k. 10 miles would be way too far for Ray anyway :p.

One last chance Ray, St Cocas 5k next friday?

    Go on Ray!

I've Dunshaughlin on Saturday and a BHAA 5k on Tuesday - two races in 7 days is enough for me :)
I am going to run the Dublin half, but that won't work for meno...

I'll hopefully be pacing so don't be counting that one as a victory :p

I guess we'll get a 5k/10k in late autumn or early winter.

Rathfarnham? It doesn't clash with Berlin afaik!

Meno v Ray is nearly as difficult to put together as Frankel v Camelot.:D

So Meno, are we all invited to your party? Twould be awful bad form if you didn't invite us all even though most of us are doing Dunshaughlin?

I'd love to do Rathfarnham but the coach has already ruled it out as it's only 7 days before Berlin :(. After Berlin I will be pretty much racing everything so we'll get our match.

You'll need to get it sorted, Ray's not getting any younger. :D
