Do not be fooled by dealer stickers and number plate surrounds...

I was until I seen the blues in the taillamps...:o

    -snip-

Sorry Corkie but on closer inspection this car does not look like your run of the mill detective car.

I suspect it belongs to a specialised unit or national unit hence why it is so under cover. (No aerials or visible blue strobes)

So in the interest of national security im going to remove the picture.

    Chief---

Apologies for the incredibly low quality image, was sent this by a mate but I'm assuming it's a photoshop job, bar light doesn't sit quite right and haven't heard of AGS having any Alfas, especially not marked traffic ones!! Even a trial one!

    This is a Severn class.

Of course it is. There were pictures of a Trent class ALB on the same page and I got them mixed up.

Never even noticed I had made the mistake.

    Look at this....

    picture.php?albumid=1609&pictureid=10818

I got this from the internet, the info provided with the pic states it was an NIFRS vehicle involved in a crash in 1997. The Unit was rebuilt and at the time of this photo going on the internet was being used as a support vehicle in Belfast.

I'm shocked by the amount of damage, unfortunately it doesn't say what happened to the firefighters.

That is quite nice, actually. Looks better than the current Mercedes in my opinion.

    Friend took this at one of those vintage shows that are often held about the place;

    A Marked Unmarked...

Thanks to budget cuts the AGS Driving School have difficulties getting enough marked patrol cars for the Response Driving Course- hence this white unmarked car getting magnetic stickers and a bar light strapped on (if you look closely you can see the roof rack brackets holding it in place)

My guess is it's telecoms, the lads who look after our radios and communications, nothing more untoward then that. We have a twin of that jeep in our station and that's what it's used for...

Blues are only if there's a major need or comms urgently..
