    Cheers, John.
I have a whole week to wait, before I'm home.

    Hey Peadar,

I think I'm on the back of your page :)

165 sold, with 11 orders left to ship.

Just to put the sales in perspective.

I was at a Martin Parr lecture recently and he was asked about book sales. "500 copies is an excellent sales number for a photograph related book".

    So well done all.

    T.

More likely that I'm on the back of your page, Hugh.
I have good neighbours on both sides anyway. :)

They've just landed here about 10 minutes ago :)
The delivery bloke is a boards user :) *waves*

We should all thank him for lugging that weight inside. Talking of which, I'll need help to carry them from car to launch site when the time comes - will be looking for two volunteers in the day. The boxes are a handy enough size - they're just bloody heavy.

Seems a little freeky no? :)

I wonder if they knew about it? Imagine their surprise when they see a huge stack of books to deliver on a Friday afternoon with Boards.ie on the front cover :)

It didn't say boards.ie on it, but he asked what Blurb was, so I told him what we were doing - he helped me open one of the boxes and I mentioned that it's on the top link of Boards :)

Did you sell him a copy???

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,344 ✭✭✭Thoie

I was thinking of it - I'd ordered two copies for myself - one for me, and one to use for advertising in a hotel (have attached one of the posters to it and will leave it lying around). I could have sold him one of my own, but decided to let him order himself :)

Hmmm...I wonder if he's reading this now but won't reply in case Thoie reveals his real identity !!!

Maybe if he buys a copy his identity won't be revealed ;)

Got to hit the €1,000 somehow.

Can anyone help me out, I got this mail from ups

Sorry, we were not able to deliver postal package you sent on November the 1st in time
because the recipient’s address is not correct.

Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office.
If you do not receive package in ten days you will have to pay 36$ per day.

    Your UPS

I can't print out the damn invoice, I don't know where to collect my book and I don't know how to contact blurb, any help would be apreciated.

Do you have the UPS tracking number? If so then you can collect it from the Dublin Depot.

    Unit 3 Mygan Business Park
    Jamestown Road
    Finglas
    Dublin 11
    Tel.: 1-800-57 57 57

Thanks for the reply darrenG, I rang that number and they told me they don't email their customers so it looks like spam. But nobody seems to know where my package is, very frustrating.

I was thinking that very thing.
    UPS NEVER mail you!
They will ring you, but only if you ask them to.

Did you request to have it shipped by UPS, or did you select standard postage?

No I chose economy but on a mail from blurb they had info on ups, so maybe I just assumed wrong. It's def spam as I can't delete the apparent word doc that doesn't open, it says you do not have permission
Oh and blurb say my transaction is complete, has anyone an email for blurb

Well, mine shipped on the 11th and it only arrived to-day ... and by normal mail.

I think it's just a matter of being patient with it ... :)
