    I dont think this has anything to do with success or status, otherwise you would see the same effect with fat politicians and judges.

    This is something different, something to do with performance, something to do with the urge to worship, to be part of that worship if only by proxy.

    i must be a posser then.no way id get on a stage without my ibanez jems.everyone that comes to my house first thing they say is wowwww nice guitars.its not just the looks they are awsome guitars.ive got a peavey hp special aswell, tobacco sunburst not as flashy looking as my other guitars but still a awsome tool

    Well those guitars must suit your persona if you like em so much. I'd wager BB King wouldn't have been caught dead wailing out a blues slide solo on one of these babies-

    Anyone with strong creative talent really attracts me, I honestly have no idea why though.

    It's all well and good until she asks "So what are you doing next week?" then;

    Oh well, I am recording.
    But you were recording last week ?
    No that was a pre-production.
    Oh.. and next week
    Recording
    The weekend ?
    Gigging..
    What about next week ?
    Mixing..
    Oh .. and the weekend..?
    Gigging.. and rehearsing... for touring..
    The week after.. ?
    Mastering.. and rehearsal.. and pre-production for the tour..
    Oh.. and after that ?
    Touring...
    Oh and where's that going to be, can I come ?
    Everywhere.. not really darling .. unless.. you can lug some speakers.. ?
    I don't think so..
    Hmmm .. how's February 2011 for you ?

    The joys of it all !
    Still wouldn't give it up for the world, when you have days like these;

    Do successful men in other fields get the same attention?

    I wouldn't think so. Maybe part of it is that the bands are working in a social environment.

    playing in a band is a real buzz.i remember the first time i was on stage,was in a packed workmans club i was nervous as hell.after the first song the crowd were clapping jumping up and down,made me relax the rest of the gig was bouncing.not into bands now as i have my son at weekends.when my son is here the guitar takes the back seat.

    I've always had a thing for the bass player.

    That would be his big instrument.

    The look of the guitar is irrelevant, so long as it neatly matches said Rockstar's rockstar persona. Punk types should not have a mint vintage Gibson, for instance.

    What? I have to match now! :eek::(

    ....and sell my Gibson? :(

    it must be terrible to fall for a man who's getting hit on all the time, i'd find it very hard to trust them in a relationship.:confused:

    By that extension would it be hard to trust a beautiful person, a rich person or just a very cool person?
