now, penguin mail, that's the way of the future. imagine thousands of penguins waddling to and fro holding letters in their little flippers/wings.

you recieve your mail by literally, p-p-p-picking up a penguin.

Yeah... It was going to be called off one year but that was mainly due to Galway students messing about the place so they eventually allowed it due to that

DSS are on top of their game so they are. Only five weeks it took them to send out the LENS report this time, and even though I've been asking since September, they still haven't found a Linux compatible magnifier for the CSIS building. *sigh*

They haven't? Have you gone to them with a suggestion? (Not that you should have to, but waiting this long is ridiculous)

That bloody main building is like the minotaurs's labyrinth. managed to get lost going to a lecture i've been to loads of times. sitting in my room with a chicken roll and coke after deciding to not go to other two lectures because of it

They said back in October/November that they had one, but it kept crashing Linux on their machines. That's the last I've heard. I don't have Linux here, so I can't test out other ones myself.

It's not surprising though, in first year I asked them to install a magnifier on Windows in Week 0, wasn't up and running till Week 6.

Me and one of the lads spent 2 hours one Sunday walking around that building, and didn't recover the same ground to any meaningful extent. :pac:

It's so freaky at 4 in the morning though when it's practically deserted... Walked into a corridor when I was going for a stroll to keep myself awake, was really dark... then... CLICK...BUZZZ....Lights come on all around me.... almost gave me a heart attack. :pac: Good times!

If you're willing to try them out yourself I'd recommend setting up a Virtual Linux Machine using VM Ware and testing out a few there. It's really quite easy to do and can be a life safer. Much easier than setting up a dual boot.

This isn't surprising to me, I'd have gone to them upon making my CAO choice to be sure.

A weird maintenance man just came into my room.

Had an awkward sense of humour.
    Kept saying very dirty things.

Cawcheen said she had her head stuck in the laptop so the man goes: That must be painful, I'll help you get it out...

Were we just trolled by someone fixing my cupboard?

    Scared now...
