    a quote from mick_irl:

"I headed up to Lisburn today. Much nicer Sainsburys there than the one in Newry.

Got up nice an early, so had the road and supermarket almost to myself!"

One other factor as to why people select Newry is to get home before the fresh or frozen products are gone to crap.

    Laura

The only one i have experience of is Eniskillen .

It is big enough (as big as Sainsbury in Newry) ,looks newly built staff are helpful and always seem to have a smile .

Last time i was there i dropped a pot of marmalade, used euro, sterling and a laser card in the same transaction and the cashier never batted an eyelid.Got somebody to replace the stuff and apoligised for the delay in processing payment !

Bring a few insulated bags - Dunnes used to have them - I brought fresh (not frozen) food back from Asda in Wales during the summer and everything was fine - was travelling for 4 -5 hours.

You can def get those insulated bags at Superquinn.

I am from near Borris and we go to Newry, Enniskillen and Lisburn regularly.

For Tesco and Asda head to Enniskillen as they are both on top of each other.

For Sainsburys you need to head to Newry and Lisburn, downside no Tesco or Asda.

I know. it's worth the petrol. Will save me a fortune on beer and dog food. Dog food usually costs 50 a week for my lads so I'm very excited!!!

Any idea on what time I'd wanna be there for on a sat morning?

Get there as early as you possibly can if you are heading for Newry.

If you are there for opening time - 8am - you will have no traffic or parking worries and should have the store to yourself.

I assume Bond-007 meant Lisburn Sprucefield.

The ASDA in Lisburn town has a postcode of BT28 1RD; TESCO BT28 2GB. Lisburn town is a couple of miles beyond Sprucefield, when travelling north.

Good thread. Any good shops near Sligo?.In Enniskillen is only ASDA,ARGOS (still cheaper like in NI)

Enniskillen has Asda, Tesco, Dunnes, Lidl, Iceland & M&S for groceries. Superdrug and River Island opened recently too.
