sylvia plath.... I've read very little of her work but I really really love, I feel really bad bout taking enjoyment from reading her work and disecting it but its just so deep and you can take it in in so many levels

    It's kind of voyeuristic almost.

I don't like that kind of thing really. Makes me feel bad.

I laughed out loud during a seminar on The Dramatic Monologue because of Porphyria's Lover by Robert Browning. Happened when the guy reading hit about 2 thirds down, I hadn't been paying attention as I thought it was another sappy love poem.

Got a talking to after the class and all.

Browning's got some good stuff, think I read somewhere that Stephen King got the idea for his Dark Tower stuff from Browning's 'Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came'.

    Lady Mac's rant, no?

Was trying to think which is the most famous Shakespeare play and whats the most famous scene.

I'm thinking 'Romeo & Juliet' for the Balcony scene and then 'Hamlet' for overall.

Yeah it was the lady referring to 'the conventions she must adhere to as a woman, that not only are expected of her within the play, but also by the play's Shakespearean audience. Sating her ambition will require her to break free of the shackles of feminity expected of her'.

Basically wishing she wasn't a woman due to societies constaints on women and their ambitions back then so that she wouldbe free to do what she wants.
