    In reality their heads are more of a bluey-gray colour, not as saturated a blue colour as in your photo.

    It does look particularly blue in that photo but it's generally described as blue-grey.

    Thanks Bonedigger. No still using the same bridge camera. I was thinking of upgrading but I'm happy with shots I've been taking lately so I'll hang onto it for another while until I can afford to upgrade.

    Most I seen together was 7 and a kite joined em. That was near avoca.

    A few from the other morning while out listening for Corncrake.

    There were bats still out when I arrived, LOADS of little Mayfly type things shedding their husks, a couple of Cuckoos calling, Snipe drumming, a lone Whooper Swan, a Curlew calling and an unusual looking BoP!

    Oak Eggar moth, I think, but I'm sure there'll be someone along with more knowledge than me soon to confirm or deny.
