Another +1 for Cork; I feel sorry for their rebel county mentality.

The notion that one ****ehole in this country is in any way superior to the next is frankly embarrassing.

The notion that we are equal is frankly disturbing.

P.S. My local sports team is better than your local sports team :D

I love Donegal, my family's from there, the accent and slang is grand until you see a Donegal person trying to talk to a non-Donegal person and going "aye, in me road, me muckers are chatting to me wean, etc," and the other person just stares at them blankly or thinks they're about to be shot (scuse the prejudice, I am half Donegal-ese so I think it's okay)

Leitrim, everyone starts on "do you have traffic lights yet?"

they'd need traffic first. And roads.

"aye, in me road, me muckers are chatting to me wean, etc,"

I'm from Donegal and have no idea what that means

And Queen Medb, Sir William Wilde (Father of Oscar Wilde)..........eh, John Waters (Which we apoligise for).

I'm from Co. Roscommon but I always get "D'ya know anyone in the prison?".....................and actually I do (Well, did........he's out now :P)

How depressing is this that my hometown earns these statistics:

Oldest average population in Ireland, no fresh pussy :(
Second highest number of bachelors per capita in Ireland, no pussy to be given out :(

    But at least there's this:
Highest percentage of Leaving Certificate students continuing on to third level education in Ireland. Boo-yah, we're smart sheep-shaggers!

better tell that to kerry; the only county to ever beat them in an all-ireland at all four levels in gaelic football (senior, u-21, junior and minor) doesn't actually exist :D

Well, Im from Cavan, and get alot of stick for it at work...
Me too, it usually only comes from the Meath and Monaghan ones though, they haven't exactly alot to shout about themselves.

Cavan seems to get a lot of stick for being apparently a frugal bunch.
Monaghan folk are assumed to be mushroom/chicken farmers.
Wicklow folk are accused of being dublin/wexford wannabe's (which might be true for the dubliners/wexford people living there)

But my vote would have to go for Cork.
Apparently when you hear a cork person they are deepening their voice as much as possible. The real cork accent is so high pitched it can only be heard by dogs!
