Thanks for the update people. Stocked up with two yesterday morning. Really tasty tasty food.
Bloody amazing stuff. Wine was way better than the wine from the Dunnes 10euro meal deal

Aye the problem seems to be the sheer demand. I've seen people stomped on just to get a bigger chicken.

Question is are M&S going to up the quantity on the Dine for 2 deal? Seems like it is now running out by Saturday afternoon on a regular basis....

I can't find it on their website, I wonder if they're holding off for the
UK long bank holiday weekend next week.

Wish they had more veggie options, but still great choice again!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,082 ✭✭✭carbsy

So it's spuds or veg? Shouldn't it be spuds & veg? It's a good price but doesn't sound complete if you have to choose between spuds and veg.

the Traditional Summer Vegetables for Roasting has baby potatoes, chantonnay carrots, parsnips etc, and is the best choice imo

The non alcoholic apple presse was very nice on a warm sunny day. Sea bass aint worth it, cooked chickens were handy and tasty.

Still waiting for the gammon, but this weeks menu seems quite good.

An opinion on the desert: The Chocolate souffle is just 2 tubs ot chocolate mousse. Nice but, just mousse.

what i dont like about this offer is if you dont drink/want the wine,
instead you get the orange juice that only worth half the price of the wine. should they not offer a replacement of the same value.

You should fill up the other half of your glass.

Its the excise duty on the wine here that jacks up the price of it. The juices in M&S are pricey and the with less tax on wine in the UK, the prices of both are closer than they are here.

Perhaps it's relevant that (as far as I know) taxes/duties on OJ are much less than on booze?
Why not write to M&S and tell them what you think?

    Update: Post crossed with mick_irl's.

if you go with the rotisserie chicken, summer veg for roasting, and one of the trifles, you can just about make a dinner for 3
