So how do these work? Do you pick one item from each list? Do all M&S stores participate in the offer?

    Cheers
    how much it cost??

Can't believe there are people who don't know about this offer!! Pick one main course, one side dish, one desert and one bottle of wine/juice and pay €12.50 for the lot...

They alway have the sh*ttest viggie options ever  How come out of 13 mains only one is veggie?! Annoying.

    is it enough for 2?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,780 ✭✭✭JohnK

I'd be wary of trying to feed two from it - some of the stuff I've seen from them in the past with 2 servings written on the box wouldnt have even fed 1 person but saying that the grub does tend to be quite tasty and some of the meals are bigger than others.

    Because of demand?

I suppose. I guess if they had decent options people would buy them. But then because people don't buy them they're less likely to have decent options. Vicious circle!

3% of UK population is vegetarian.

7.7% of Dine in for 2 meals are vegetarian.

Looks like vegetarians are doing well here.

How ungrateful of me to hope for a choice. Apologies

You made your choice by choosing veggies ;)

Sort of. I usually add a few other things to it myself but you'd manage it for two people if you chose carefully and weren't starving.

This offer is worth it for the wine alone. Great quality :)

Not really relevant because meat eaters will eat a vegetarian meal but vegetarians will not eat a meat based meal. Ive never got the M&S deal due to the lack of main course choice. I think they had two veggie choices once but they were sold out of the better one in my local.

Once again, the Cork M&S has feck all left. Almost nothing left on the shelves now. You used to be able to get most of the stuff even on a Sunday, but for the past 3-4 times this offer has been on they've been cleaned out incredibly quickly. Overall the place seems to be a bit ragged too, I'm wondering if there's new management in there.

    Up again this weekend.

    http://www.marksandspencer.com/Dine-In-Offers-Instore-MS-Food-Food-Wine/b/198933031

Wine selection seemed pretty poor, had to go with cheap-o €6.79 Côtes du Rhône.

Anyone know if this still runs 'til Tuesdays these days?
Will the shelves be picked clean by this stage?
    Cheers!

Yep, saw a poster on the way out "Now runs from Thursday to Tuesday".
There might not be much to choose from by the Monday/Tuesday though.

    It is what it's.

The Marks & Spenser meal for two offer is returning this weekend. Select a main course, side dish and desert for two and a bottle of wine (other non-wine options too) for €12.50.

Running Thursday 25th - Tuesday 30th Nov. Was always great value before so looking forward to seeing the selection.

    Here's the menu;

    Thanks Joe!

    It's such a great deal...

    Thanks for that. I'm tempted...

The wine selection looks good too!

Herself said the steak didn't look great. Think we're sticking with the chicken :)

The wine selection actually available in Grafton St anyway isn't as good as that. I was in a bit of a rush but they only seemed to have about 6 wines available, pity as I'd have been interested in the La Basca Uvas Blancas.

Has anyone tried the Brazil Nut, Date & Cranberry Roast with Mulled Fruit Topping?

I had it last year and really liked it, bought one yesterday but haven't eaten it yet, may just keep it for Christmas as it's freezable. Would be worth keeping an eye out on Tuesday/Wednesday for leftovers as they may well reduce the price of selling it on it's own. Best before date is 15/12.

Usually they've had decent sirloin steak, but this time it was dodgy looking rump steak.. no deal.

Got lasagne, chips (parsnips was the only other choice available), cheesecake and Cape Quarter Rose (they only had the Gaston de Veau as other options).

Cape Quarter is €6.79 normally, so not the best choice I think.

Thanks for the info. I don't find their veggie options the best but I was intrigued by this.
