I was throwing in turf earlier on and was covered in sweat by the end of it due to the humidity. Thank goodness we don't get high humidity, like today, on a regular bases.

On the lightning page there seems to be a line of lightning from south of Cork, right up to Cumbria, though only strikes over sea are being detected!

the lightest of a sea breeze is begining so that should temper things as it gets stronger.
Isn't the flow meant to get more easterly today also too anyway..also a temper to the temp as the day goes on.

No wind so the rain is very slow moving. Looking at Met Eireann radar the rain seems to be crossing the country but dying out as it does.

Max of 22.9c here before midday. Has largly clouded over since and temps are hovering in the 22s. Dew point of 17.5c. Humidity 73%. Can see some signs of convection going up.

Hottest day of the year. Previous high of 23.4c now surpassed by 23.5c at 13.52hrs. Convection still building allowing more sunshine through as the clouds become more organised. DP just at 18c.
