Hi guys first time posting here but have been reading posts since before ist.It was my first time doing ist and got my pass letter today .Couldnt believe i passed had convinced myself id failed because the letter was taking so long .Im from the south sat ist march 15 th .See you all at the ac cheers .

I'm still waiting on the call from last years recruitment. Hoping to get a little higher up the merit list this time round to better my chances.

All being well, i may get in from last year at some stage before the year is out!!

I just found out I passed !! yaaaaaaa, my sister opened my letter today and told me i failed, i was so sick all day after it but got some surprise wehn i went hope and got the letter that i passed!! Ill get her back hahaha:D:D:D

Ha well done pal.. my mum did the same thing to me! We had the same IST.. wonder if we have the same A/C... mine is early June....

Delighted to say I got my letter this morning & I can be added to the pass column!!!!!:D I did my test at the end of March in Dublin & my AC is in June. Congrats to everyone else who passed & hard luck to anyone who failed, better luck next time. Thanks to everyone on the tread for the tips & advice, see you all on the stage two thread

Early June eh? My A/C is in the 2nd week of June.. is yours in that slot too?

Hello All,

I've had PC / Log in issues with boards.ie website, so apologies for not having posted before now. Was able to view posts ok, but unable to post myself... Anyway, all sorted now.

Delighted to say I passed the IST (got result on Fri).. When I initially opened the envelope, there was no sign of the green sheet I had got in 2008, so had initially thought it was a 'dear John', but delighted to see that it was two white sheets............ Ahh the relief! (well at least until A/C).

2008- A/C score 52/70

2009- IST score 54 (failed by one mark)

Hoping that its third time lucky this year. Wishing everyone best of luck in their A/C and for those who were unlucky in their IST this time, keep trying and don't get too dispirited (been there).:)

It is also my 3rd time - hoping it's 3rd tim lucky too. I quite frustrated though that I missed it by 2 marks first time which was in 2006, but than last year I failed IST with 55 they said I needed 56.

How do you plan to prepare for the AC?

Beca, maybe you should add onto yer list the rough date of everyone's A/C so we can see if anyone's maybe gunna be in together and all that jazz.. just a thought ^_^

Results arrived (finally), at least the waiting is over now...and the result, a Fail. Might get lucky on the second attempt. Best of luck to those going forward to the AC phase. And to those who didn't get it, I'll see ye next year.

got my ist results today. got a score of 52 failed by 1 mark. gutted!!:(

Sorry to hear that johnnypaul2007.

That's probably worse, I have a workmate who failed by only 1 mark as well. He said he wished it was 10 or 15 marks off passing. But follow the advice on hear, just have another go next year and good luck with it in advance.

Rang Deloitte about getting breakdown of IST result. The woman said it takes about ten working days after you request it by e-mail as they do it in batches.. Happy days...

I e-mailed them a week ago asking for a my mark - no response as yet.

Yeah same as that. 7 Days today exactly.. Should get it next week so, unless they mean ten working days that is..

I emailed them on the 20th and still no response either.

I've gave in and emailed for my mark! I wasn't going to because I decided I'd be better just assuming I did really well rather than finding out I only just passed and that knocking my confidence down a peg...but pure curiosity as always has gotten the better of me I knew it wouldn't take long!
