sitting last week about to start the test, noticed the boy beside me had the page turned to questions and was like 8 questions in before the start time
felt like touting on him! especially when he was at it again for the 2nd part

Hi guys, I did my IST at the end of March but I was just wondering does anyone know how many people are being recruited in this series of tests? Thanks for all info offered

9008 applicants wasn't it?... there's some talk on it a few pages back and a linked website... apparently only c. 2000 people will go on to the AC out of the c. 9000

I'd say there's alot more rc than non rc, due to the fact that AGS aren't recruiting for a good while yet!

Its normally the other way around.

Last year out of 9825 applicants, 3734 were RC.

All this waiting does your head in no doubt about it, this is my 2nd time! hasnt driven me as mad as last time to be honest!

at least all the waiting is eased by seeing some good looking girls at the ists ;) saw the same girl at my ist that was at my ac last year. Looks like i aint the only one who didnt get in after all haha!

I'm sure your doing fine but try not to drive yourself (goes for all concerned) bananas with it. The waiting can be a bit of a strain, no argument, but the more tests and so forth on the road you pass, the more waiting there is. Can't have all us hopefuls shell shocked before there's even been a stage 2 ;).

Not long now folks until results! I guess we're all a little apprehensive :p

I need these results! The waiting is annoying me quite a bit more this year...but maybe thats just because I really want out of my current job! Plus I keep having dreams about it, had one the other night where I got my letter and passed with a grand old mark of 105 :D:D oooh yes, ill take that as a sign thank you very much lol! I've a feeling mines coming on the 29th, I just know it, 29th's a bad day for me and a bad result really wont help!

Your waiting on the IST result? I thought they jus give a pass or fail & not a mark?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 225 ✭✭odin_ie

I am looking forward to getting the results, but I get the feeling that I will be reapplying for IST next time around. I really don't feel I did that well, but who knows, I might get lucky.

If you fail they tell you your score and what the pass mark was, if you pass you have to email them to get your score.

I had a dream about getting in the other night as well, so many weird and random things happened in it! Including unisex changing rooms in my station and a solo blue light run!? Haha, I had a right giggle when I woke up!

I'm not holding my breath on the results coming out before the dates we were told, so I'm sitting back til mon or tues next week! Would be nice if they did though!

I got my mark last year although I have heard of a lot just getting a pass or fail, don't know why I got mine, maybe they just wanted to rub in my one mark fail a bit! :(

I'm feeling a bit like that too, and I guess expecting to have failed means I won't be disappointed if that is the case, but felt the same last year and was pleasantly surprised to have passed, so lets hope it's the same again this year, and that goes for everyone :)
