echoing tickle, i couldnt hardly face coming on here to post either, kept reading the ever growing list of passers (i secretly hate you all) =[ a guy that had been going over maths stuff with me rang me when i texted him and told him, got about two words out coz i just kept crying and crying and blubberin and did i mention crying... however bender did mask the dissapointment for all of 3 days and i feel another dip of depression coming on in next few days... police officers wotch out, i now shout when i see you "stick your stupid job... well until next march anyway"

right so ill be back on when the form improves! well done and good luck to all that passed and to those that failed.. i know the feeling

:(Sorry you didnt make the cut this year. If its any consolation it was a beast of a pass mark to hit, most likely due to the enormous amount of applicants.
You know what you're up against next year so fingers crossed for then.

    Hi Edzzy.
I did mine on the 5th of May and i got my results last week.
It's been over the 4 weeks they stated for the results so, i would ring or e-mail them.
Good luck and well done for being extra patient.
You should be rewarded for your extra patience!!!

jesus man! over 4 weeks and you still havnt phoned! most of the ones on here have an alarm set on the phones for exactly 4 weeks to the second. soon as that goes, theyre on the phone looking for heads to roll :D

only joking, but kudos on your patience for sure. like MGH said, its past emailing time, get on the blower to them and find out the craic. you dont want something with your personal details and a letter relating to PSNI app lying on someone elses doormat

Definitely phone for your results guys, the Deloitte team clearly don't have too much on at the minute cos on the advice of one of you boardies I emailed yesterday at lunchtime asking for a copy of my IST mark - and it arrived this morning! Couldn't believe it!

I also couldn't believe that I scored 68....thought I'd scraped in.....hope to God this goes towards my merit score if I ever get to that stage....

    Awesome score!
I thought I'd prob just scraped a pass but I got 61. (which I thought was good until you posted that lol!!!)
Yes this does count towards your merit, its one of the factors they use to separate tied scores.
They also use how you scored in one of the competencies and I'm led to believe they use this first, then they go to IST score to separate further if still tied. Dont treat this as gospel though, although it was from a reliable source, I'm not taking anything for granted.

Thanks MGH, 61 is a great score too :D God we can't take anything for granted in this process, the goalposts move so much you could never second guess it!

Assessment Centre this week, hope I don't feck it up in that!!!

68 is a cracking score Jill, as is 61 MGH. I got a 62, all the practice t, f, ct questions done beforehand definitely helped as that was the part that got me through. AC in a couple of days, have been putting my customer services head on in work actively seeking customers who need to be helped!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 74 ✭✭Jill77

Maybe see you there Bubba :D

Hopefully Jill, I'm hoping to meet at least one of you guys at the AC. knowing my luck though I'll be sat with a bunch of complete strangers who know nothing of us boardies!!

I haven't been on here in ages so congratulations to all who have passed,

Becca and Tickle, I really feel for you guys, but you'll fly through the IST next time round

PYG - c14 has a place with your name on it

I scored a measley 57 in mine, but I'm not complaining. I only got half the maths questions right, my verbal reasoning was much better, role on the AC :D

at this stage of the game dude, a pass is a pass, regardless of what score you hit. end of the day all you can do is give it everything, pass the ac and see how you stand when the merit pool comes out. i dont even want to check my score lol

1st stage of the transfer back is complete.

92% at IST stage - Does this help your position in the Merit Pool IF I pass the A/C?

    Just wondering

Hi all. Just come across this site last night while searching for info on the recruitment process. Must say, seems to be some very helpful people on here which is good.

I really didn't think there was such a high level of testing involved. I new there was the initial application, written exams, medicle etc but now I'm getting scared and I haven't even applied yet. Lol

I got in touch with Deloitte through select psni and was told recruitment has finished for this year and the next time I'd be able to apply is beginning of 2010. By then I'll be 26.

Really hope I get in, be thinking about this for a long time and now I've got until next year I've already begun to improve my fitness etc.
I was actually planning on moving back to london (where I'm from originally) to join the met but the price of living, housing etc is just ridiculous and I have a GF and 2 kids and would be hard to match our lifestyle at the mo.

Any way, looking forward to making some friends on here and getting plenty of help.

campaign 14 - im all clear i think, same as a few others on here. assuming my vetting has cleared, hoping it has as it was submitted nearly a year ago lol just waiting on the illusive callif it ever comes. hoping theyre gonna get to me soon. theres a good few others in the same bracket here.

c15 - Iv passed my IST and im waiting on AC results. not too hopeful on them though, dont think it went too well

    All the best anyway.
Your have to bare with me on the campaign numbers etc as its all new to me.

I'm really loking forward to the whole process too. Really want to get in (as does everyone else).

All I can do now is focus on my fitness as that's slipped over the years but brand new top notch running machine coming monday so I don't have to be away from my new born too much plus some good weights tht I already have....its a start anyway.

Any other tips you can give without breaking the rules as I have read you can't talk specifics.

correct. i started off here and now find myself nosing around the fitness forum and the athletics/running forum aswell. im sure theres tonnes more aswell lol

As PSNI said, you'll find all the tips if you read around the different sections. once you get round to your IST etc then it'l be easier for people to actually give specific tips and stuff :)
