Arya Stark'd be my favourite I think.

oh ya, the strong one, ya i like her too

Tyrion Lannister gets my vote. he's smart and after all they put him through. i really want him to wreak horrible revenge, well he did a good job so far :)

    Certainly has his moments. :pac:

They're doing a HBO adaption of the books. Should be awesome.

A song of Ice and Fire is a great series. I got into them years ago and couldn't put them down until I'd read all of them (A Storm of Swords Part II was just about to be released then). Love them.

We'll be waiting for the next books for a while longer. I don't mind as I want George to have then perfected and not rushed for release.

HBO should do a great job of the TV Series adaption. The TV forum thread is here. There's also a thread in the Sci-fi forum here.

    I am currently reading;

Darkfever (Fever Series #1) - Karen Marie Moning

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson

and I am trying so hard to get thorugh Mennonite in a Little Black Dress - Rhoda Janzen. I am reading it for a book club, but it sucks.

    I really like Tess Gerritsen.

No I have not. I want to read the book first. I like doing it that way.

Just remembered to throw up Garrett, P.I. by Glen Cook. Quite a nice little series of mysteries with plenty of fantasy elements tossed in.

It wasn't what I was reading; rather what I was drinking. ;)

    Anita's nickname is The Executioner.

Is it really fair to mention those and not warn of the types of debauchery they descend into?

Oh yeah, I've been reading right along in the series so i forgot that later in the series there is at least one hardcore sex scene or orgy per book.

Pretty much the same thing happened with the other series she was writing
the Merry books, seem that once she was popular enough they took the editors away...

Never got into the Hollows really. I do enjoy Bob's continuing adventures though

Well, how else are you going to sell books?

Plot and non marysue char developement.
I liked where the books started out and the murder mystry/thriller/crime aspects of the book before they became porn. There are plenty of Black Lace books for that and precious little good supe thrillers.

Read Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. Plenty of plot, great character development and very little sex. Also, you gotta love a series that features holy knights, talking skulls, and fairies

That is a good sales pitch.

I have literally just finished Jack Kerouac's On the Road, an absolutely brilliant read. I am scouring for another book at the moment. Have a few here, not sure which one to read though.

I did enjoy them, I guess I am just sore at loosing a intresting series of books with a female protagonist down the root those went.

I have just started reading the 6th book in the Hitchhikers trilogy. Very funny, so in keeping with Adams style.

Colfer has done a very fine job, but then I do love Artemis - a great character. Colfer has gotten rave reviews for the 6th book - Im not surprised.

If you get a chance I would definatley recommend that you watch the film. Probably one of the best films ever made. In my opinion anyway:)
