Better suited to modified thread so I dont get purists crying about ruining a "classic" but here is my 540i Track/project car. Just got the Log Book after 7mths of being screwed about and got the tax sorted, so its road legal again! Car was bought as scrap/parts and was in bits. As were the wheels. One step from the crusher!

Its a 1995 540i 6speed manual, chipped to 322bhp, air filter, LSD from M5, Wiecher strut brace, lowered to an inch of its life, rock hard suspension setup (no idea what make), rattle can painted in the garden (:D), Msport Vinyl stripe for extra speed.
The colour actually was purple before too, but it had been part-painted then left or something and was in bits. Lots of rust too. So this is better and nice and satin. And low. And a black grille for good measure.

Wheels are lightweight BBS (some rare style) repainted of course.

Photos are iPhone, actually kinda muck photos but had to drive it right after

Redid the interior with Dynamix dye too:

To Do:
Tighten up slack in steering
Get the Supersprint back box sitting here fitted, should sound awesome!
Get some proper carbon BMW badges or something.
Fit SS brake lines
Get better Reg plates. These arent proper legal and even look $hit..

It'll be Evo 5/6 or Impreza WRX STi if I go down that road...

I'll probably end up not buying anything (road legal anyway) and building the Golf to a stupid spec.

ya i was looking for a minter the last twelve months.only picked it up last week from tallow in waterford.same owner the last 13 years.cleanest one ive ever seen.one key does all the locks.a genuine 122k miles on the clock with fill service history,nct,mot since she was new.it even drives like a new car!
