If the games are starting at 8 officially, and people are arriving and setting up at 4, there may be a few of us eager to get in a game or two.

@Maxforce's: In that situation, could a few smaller warm ups, pistol games and one hit kill games be held, just to entertain us trigger happy so and so's?
And to get a feel for the site.

Yeah thanks. We will see if ye can do a few early games and as we will be busy regetering and chroning, we would not be available for this, but gis an hour or soand we will let ye know.

We now have 56 conformed and paid with 43 paid and confirmed for the night/dusk games.

Just to let ye know and Thanks to MIA we got our supply delivery of BB's so we have loads.;) Well all depends on how much ye shoot.:pac: We will also have a small and limited supply of Abbey Predator Green Gas.

We will be using a plastic anti tamper seal which will be placed on your gun after chroning. This will be easily removerd after the event but must be kept in place until after the last game has finished. ANybody found without a seal on their gun will be re chroned and if found to be out of range will be asked to leave the field of play until such time they can be rechroned to show their gun is within spec.

A note on services. There is a Supervalue in Portumna which has an Off Licence but will be closed at around 7pm. My suggestion would be to stop at an Aldi or Lidl and stock up on provisions on the way down or if their "Beerverages" are not to your liking, make a run to Portumna (5-10 min) and catch the SuperValue befor it closes. Please lads if leaving the site to go to a shop do not do so in full camo. This is rural area. At least throw on a plain jacket.

Please make your self aware of the parking area. You can check out the picture hereThere are no cars allowed down near the tented or game area. This area is restricted to staff only.

Please have made provision your self to remove all of your rubbish from the site. I have started to find discarded BB bottles in the woods and CQB area. This can not happen. There will be to many of ye around to leave empty bottls around the place.

Other then that, keep it safe and most of all MAKE IT FUN.

Firstly, any specific instructions on parking for us and sean's family? You said you had a space seperate for us?

Also, dunno how many young guns are going but sean and I were thinking if we're down early that maybe we could have a couple of YG games as some the others are bound to be late/lost.

Thirdly, a reminder:

Anyone with a camera or camcorder, BRING IT! The more footage the better. Bring the cables too, then I can rip any files(with your permission of course) and do up one big montage for youtube. Gizmo, dont forget your camera:D And anybody with headcams, bring 'em, they're pure gold for video.

Oh, Richie, whats the deal with the little shoot planned?

I have a pair which I can sell you - falan low profile which I bought from eirsoft for €14. You can have em for €7. Never skirmished as too tight for me with specs undereath.

I think there is a total of 5 CV's planned for arrival. Ye can setup in the carparking area and if it gets to crowded up there for ye we will see abou moving ye down near the camping area.

Some of the lads have already asked about a few "Get in the mood sessions". No probs. But just make sure ye are regestered and chroned prior to starting any games.

I think the single biggest threat to Irish airsoft retailers is sales of your used gear - not that I'm complaining!

I have been contacted by the IAA in relation to the use of Lasers at The Gathering.

As it stands and under the CJA they are illegal and as such will not be allowed to be used at The Gathering. Believe me when I say I am as disappointed as you and I don't want to seem as a spoil sport but there maybe interest in this event by the local Garda stations and because of that I have to agree with the IAA on this.
