Heres some pics of me and my mare "Rossagh Roxy Hill" on our way to Mallow Gymkhana. It was the first time going to a gymkhana for both me and my mare so it was a bit nerve wracking(My dad was so nervous he couldnt talk to me while I was warming up). However we managed to get double clear in the 70cm and 80cm classes :D
Sadly, Ive no pictures of us actually jumping as my dad was so nervous he couldnt work his phone!

    Emma she is beautiful.

She's lovely, emma-fly, and beautifully turned out. You look so pleased with her, and I love the expression on her face looking at the lady with the rosettes!

Unfortunately this is probably the last time our pony will be jumping this year. Thought we had lost him to a broken leg a week ago after something spooked him in his stable and he tried to kick the door down.Thankfully the 2 x-rays came back clear and his leg is not broke. Lot of work to do to keep infection away and get him better but he is in good hands. Talk about an emotional morning telling the kids they may have to say goodbye to their beloved pony, not nice.
The cut he has on his leg is gone right into the bone and the vet is very worried about the pace of healing because of the bone being exposed. He was putting bandages on it from Wednesday to Sunday but on Sunday morning he sedated him and stitched it. Am still waiting for him to come back to me to see did the stitches hold. Hopefully there's no ligament or tendon damage either.
    Get well soon buddy!!

This is Crunchy, a horse I'm working with for a girl. She's 6 years old and has only been ridden once or twice since she was broken in at 3years old- so she's really GREEN. This was the first day of me working with her, so everyone held their breath, when I got up LOL.. But she didn't put a foot out of place:D She's really lovely and very responsive, improving every day:) Thought I might share this with you:rolleyes:

Finally getting closer to the photo I want of my daughter's pony, pity that Jazz looks so morose.

My little fat cob with friends up. He cleared the bullfinch- normally he skims about 2 cm over a fence. Stable name: Bob the Cob. Passport: Liath Luath.

We finally got another pony for my oldest daughter, took a while but it was worth the wait. Fantastic show jumper. He's been out for a few weeks so needs a good scrub & grooming!!

We visited Lullymore Equestrian at the weekend, it's fair to say my daughter's pony overcame her dislike of water:

    She still loves jumping:

How was it?? I've seen it on FB but it looks a little bare!!! Are the portables that are there well secured? Unfixed portables scare the crap out of me :(

To quote the two riders: it was fantastic and stridings are absolutely perfect!

Very welcoming place, lots of jumps, seems well planned and built. Only open a couple of weeks as far as I know. I'm told we're going back. Back protectors are mandatory. I'm not a rider (just unpaid groom, photographer & transport manager) so not sure what you mean by "portables".

Portables means the jumps can be moved around. But if they're not anchored securely and a horse clips them while jumping the results can be horrific.

Fences that can be moved around... If they're not fixed down they tend to make rotational falls more likely and far more dangerous...

I checked "portables" with my daughter, I assumed they were fences that could be moved but wanted to be certain before answering. Anyhow, both riders tell me that the portables are well secured.

From talking to Laura in Lullymore, it seems to me that she put a lot of time, effort and money into the derby, it was designed by somebody who does design for for the RDS horseshow and he monitored the build throughout, to the extent of evening getting builder to redo stuff that the designer wasn't 100% happy with. I'm beginning to sound a PR person for them, so I'll stop and just say my girl and her friend loved their time there.
