Nope, none at all not even a conversion kit. Theres a good few 416's out there as you probable already know but airsoft manufacturers don't seem to be too keen on anything 7.62:p

Would be nice to see them being made i think.

    Yeah i own a 416 so I know bout them :)

I was droooling over what I got my hands on today.
Lad in work was going around checking the Electrical wireing in the place
with a lovely FLIR handheld camera.

It was amazing Picked up the tiniest heat differences in wiring.
If you placed your hand on a cold surface and removed it you could see
the imprint still there. It really felt like your were looking through the predators heat vision mask. Looking at peoples faces wearing glasses was
cool as they appeared as black on the view screen compared to the rest of the face.

The unit I was playing with was only 4000 Euros worth (cheap as FLIR goes)
but I think a while back when I was googling that you could get a less powerful model for under a grand.

Deadliest Warrior is the biggest load of cack ever to be broadcast. How that made it to a second season, I'll never know.

I have one, we use it on the jet engines the odd time. It is rather amazing, I have to agree. I find myself taking it out of my toolbox and just messing with it from time to time. It's technically not mine, but the company's, so I can't take it home officially. I've had it home a few times though, to check wiring in my house in much the same way your contractor probably did (I found the problem too, the MCB was dodgy and showed up like a flare on it). Very bloody effective, I'm surprised more maintenance crews don't shell out for them.

Nope. Get a netbook. And that's coming from an Apple fan.
I used one when I was in the states last time. I saw no advantage to it over a netbook, and they're bloody pricey even there. The projected Irish price is even worse, with the 64Gb 3G version being somewhere around €800.

I picked up a Samsung N150 with a 160Gb hard drive and a 7 hour battery for €280, and an external LiteOn DVD writer for €50. Bargain, and a complete workhorse. I doubled the RAM up to 2Gb for €35 too. Does everything an iPad won't, connects to everything and supports flash, all for less than half the money.

Edit: Oh yeah, and you can replace the battery...

Love apples hardware and interface but I HATE itunes.

I got an I pad a week or two ago and have barely put it down. (Some Porn sites say they are currently re-encoding their content BTW specifically to be compatibe with Ipad ;) there is even a website called ipadcompatibleporn.com which is starting to list sites)

Already have a Laptop and Itouch so it did not make sense to me to buy a netbook when I could get a touch screen tablet style thingemebob.

Made a stand from a wire coat hanger for on top of the bedside locker when I am reading ebooks at night or browsing. Its perfect as with the alarm clock and lamp there is not much space so a low profile slim thing fits fine.

Played an MMO already, succumbed to those ****e games like farmville and virtual familys, played a Diablo hack and slash type game and a few other things.

Browsing is nice and fast, The books are cool, Comics (which I am not into) are cool looking. Radio station, Sky news app, sky tv all run smooth and stream video without issue.

Have no complaints so far about it other than chargeing it and not being able to view flash such as
the channel 4OD site or RTE player and millions of others.

A lot of poeple dont know that it will not charge from a lot of USB ports as they tend to only kick out 5mw's I think.
Its not enough to charge the Ipad with the screen turned on but it will charge it when its in standby mode with screen off.

The standard Ipod/Iphone/Itouch chargers also wont charge it while on. The connection cables on Ipod/Itouch
are not wired the same as the Ipad ones even though they look the exact same. My I touch cable wont charge my Ipad but it will let me sync.

The charger that came with my Ipad was American so could not charge it until I bought a travel adapter.

Some mother board companys relased software to make
USB ports spit out more juice.

    Already have a netbook.

For the record I'm aware of all of its deficiencies and still.................

Never thought I sucumb to the cult of Jobs

I have 24 hours to snap out of it or I'll never be able to use the phrase "a fool and his money are easily parted" again.

    Did I mention its shiney!

Oh I was the type of person that said that the Ipad would be useless and I would never buy one and all it was was a big
    I touch.

I changed my mind when I picked one up and did not want to give it back! :D

I've found that I will make up any excuse to justify why I need one. The truth is I have no need at all for one, but I wanted it anyway.

Dont buy a mirrored screen protector. Thought I was great
with a silver mirror finish when screen was off, but when you put screen on it distorts the lovely HD screen.

I picked one up and didn't find all that much to do with it, but that may have been because I've had iPhones for so long now. I couldn't honestly think of a single reason for me buying one, and normally I can justify buying any random piece of gadgetry.

I've since found one reason for having it, for myself personally. There's a camera connection kit available for it now, which will plug it into your camera and allow you to back up all your images. It also handles RAW files without installing any extra apps/programs. The combination of these two and the HD screen makes it an appealing system for backing up, sorting and displaying images from matches I've been covering.
It's something I can do with my netbook and Adobe Bridge, but the HD screen and faster RAW handling is tilting it a little.

I'm in no hurry though. I may wait until the end of the year before diving in, and even then, I'll be damned if I'm buying it here unless they price match the US Apple stores.
