Steve06 - do you work in the valet business? :o

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 34,809 ✭✭✭✭smash

no not a valet at all, just work close by and strolled down for a look. That's a bit weird AJ, I took that pic yesterday.

Is it just me or does the badge on the side of that 7 Series in Steve's first picture say "V10" ??

    The 760i is a 12 bore, and the 750 is an 8...............the only V10 is the M5 motor !!

Or am I not seeing it and it actually says V12 ?

    It's definitely 2 digits after the V.

    I think it's V12. Just seen this on google - http://www.summermotors.com/760li/a.JPG

I was following this car the other day from Dundrum up to Goatstown. I was driving with my 20 year old brother beside me, windows down and radio off just listening to it. The guy driving it took off slowly from the lights allowing the car in front get away and then floor it and get back up. He had a smile on his face when he was looking at us in the mirror. ANd I had a huge grin, it sounded so sweet.

A few Bmws at Kilkenny, the white M5 is the nicest colour for that car I think:)

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,269 ✭✭✭MercMad

Yes i agree that white M% is very dramatic looking ! It takes a brave man to order an expensive car in white and the owner will be slaughtered at resale time !

What was the vent there anyway ?

Despite what I said earlier in this thread that Yellow 355 is sweet !

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,248 ✭✭✭Plug

I duno, I got the pictures off some lads bebo I know, his parents own the white M5, there must be little meet up's for the M5s, strange to see aload like that espically in Ireland.

where's the beacon?? Is it a seriously stylish hotel or something??

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,326 ✭✭✭ciarsd

The line up of M5's looks like Weston Aerodrome where the Irish launch of the M5 took place. The event was marked by tearing the sh!te out of the M5's around the runways :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,248 ✭✭✭Plug

I'd pick the M5 over the M6 tough!

I went to the launch on the second day when apparently there were a lot of motoring journs there. I managed to talk to the mechanics there and sure enough most of the cars needed new brake pads, tyres, etc. from the abuse of the first day.
However, when the cars eventually went out on track, I watched the cars being driven slowly (<50km/h) down to the first corner, wait for about 5 minutes, drive another bit, stop again and eventually return to the start line where the people inside got out. This happened again with another car and by then I was freezing and in pain from watching this so I went home!

i dont think the Hard revving is the best thing for a new car

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,192 ✭✭✭HungryJoey

Yes It probably isn't, But the car has a good few miles on it already.

I'm sure revving it like that isn't good for it fullstop, But its a once off.

Saw an 06 reg blue Caterham on the Howth Road not sure which model, they all look the same to me. By the time I took my phone out to take a pic he was gone. The noise off it was something else though.
