I can beat that one :)

    274922969.png

It's Airwire, but it's directly on one of our fibers, so not really something you'll see in our wireless network.

Here are the tests to Dublin and Limerick:

As you can see, it varies a lot also on how well connected the servers are.

Digiweb Metro (on a legacy 5Mb down/1Mb up plan). It's normally around this (i.e. not suffering contention), even at peak times. A few minutes of downtime here and there (worse record than eircom DSL), but normally fine. Only gripe is 3 weeks of around 10% upload speed which Digiweb happily put down to "contention" and would do no more about it (it clearly wasn't contention).

National Broadband two-way satellite 1Mb down /128kb up.

Is that the best you can get, i hope its the worst, choose a better server.

Those download and upload speeds are grand!! At least there's *some* comfort for the poor buggers using satellite internet.

If you want lower ping times, try testing from a server in belgium or suchlike.

    Lol nice one.

I still would prefer what I have atm, better upload is prefferable imo .

    283997029.png

Still though I do hope that UPC do an upgrade before the end of the year again as they said they might do to bring us in line with the rest of the countries they service.

same here. no matter how fast my download speed is, im still limited by the 120gb cap.

upload speed however is dire maxing out at 70kb/s. so im hoping for a decent improvement there!

Whats everybodys snr and att like?

With what i get i'm likely to get 4-7mb when the upgrade comes.

    48-49 att

    12-18 snr

You'll never get more than the 90% or so of rated speed that you're getting there, due to DSL protocol overheads. SNR, att etc only influence the speed you sync at, not the actual rates you get once you're synced at those speeds.
