    Speeeeeeeeeeed pulls

    Power Cleans:
    60kg x3
    70kg x2
    80kg x2
    90kg x2
    100kg x1
    105kg x3

    Speed Pulls:
    100kg x3
    130kg x2
    160kg x2
    180kg 4x2

    SLDL off a plate:
    140kg x10

    Roman Chair Sit Ups:
    bodyweight x5
    +10kg on forehead x5
    +20kg on forehead 2x12

    DC Shoulder Warm Up:
    4kg 'bells - 3 reps

    One Arm Face Pulls:
    3x12

    Inverted Rows:
    3x12

Good workout today. Dropped the volume a lot but kept the intensity fairly high. Just tapering down gently for the comp on Sunday now.

The power cleans were pretty good today. I'm starting to extend a bit earlier and I think it's helping me keep a straight bar path. Vid to come.

The speed pulls were nice and snappy today... would like them to be faster, but they'll come on with training. I'll start pushing my DL hard again once I come off the back off the bench comp.

The SLDLs off the plate were solid today. I actually reckon I can keep going with these for a few more weeks....

Time to move up to the 25's on the sit ups I think. They hurt soooo good.

Lots of upper back/scap work again today.... it's worked well over the past week so hopefully I'll come in near 100% in that regard on Sunday!

Easy bench workout tomorrow and that'll be me ready to rest up.... started my water load yesterday - drinking 5l of water per day and still thristy... looks like it's working!!

Nah, it's grand once you've shoulders to catch the bar on :p

Seriously tho, it doesn't drop on you so much as you come to meet it, if that makes sense?

Still far from lean guys!! Haven't even broken 100kg yet.

EDIT: And if you **** go off topic you're getting reported!!

when i like try to imagine i have a bar resting on my shoulders, i can only have like 1 finger on it, if ya get me, Do your hands like stretch down with the weight of the bar?

Then you probably need to work on upper back, tricep and shoulder flexibility. When I first started doing cleans and front squats the pain thru my wrists was damn near unbearable, but I just sacked up and took it on the chin. Not the smartest, and not recommended, but it worked.

With an empty bar it doesn't sit on my shoulders tho. Takes about 60kg and maybe a bit more to compress my forearms down enough for it to sit there.

    Sssh you.

And yeah course I am. Started my water load today, was 100.6kg this AM too. Gotta be careful not to come in too light tbh. Could easily hit 98kg with zero trouble on Sunday if I'm not careful.

your forearms not wanting to compress at the top of the reps.

Ummm no..... and if I'm not having that problem, then you've no excuse!!

When I said compress earlier I meant that my forearms and biceps are too thick for the bar to sit on my shoulders on its own (I know, how big headed )

Pretty sure that would be a foul lift in a comp.:D

(is that what the call it? A foul lift?)

    Tis just a "no lift"!

    Taking it easy?

    Power Snatch:
    30kg x3
    40kg x3
    50kg x3
    60kg x3uglyreps

    DC Shoulder Warm Up:
    4kg 'bells - 3 reps

    Bench (all paused):
    50kg x5
    75kg x5
    90kg x5
    112.5kg x5

    Incline Dumbbell Bench:
    35kg 'bells x12

    Hammer Strength Bench:
    100kg x10

    DC shoulder Warm Up:
    2.5kg plates - 3 reps

    Inverted Rows:
    2x12

    Face Pulls:
    3x12

Starting the deload today... cut my volume pretty much to nothing. The snatches were fugly.

Benching was strong... let my shoulder slip out on the 5th rep and nearly lost the bar backwards.. doh!

The incline dumbbell presses and hammer strength bench decided to take off this week.... really had to work hard to stop myself going overboard on the reps. Coulda done 3-5 more on each exercise like.

More boring upper back work to round things off then....

    Ass.

I'm actually in serious danger of over cutting. I kept my water load going today and eat fairly light, checked my weight at 6pm and was 100kg on the button, that's too light this far out so I have a couple of burgers and am sipping water now. Will have some more food later and probably eat every couple of hours right up until bed.

..and the CF September invitational was on today. Great day, great event!! I'd like to write more but it's time to rest up now.

Was gutted I didn't get to compete but plan on trying the workouts during the week.

I did have a play about tho, did a muscle up double, and 5 pull ups + 5 clapping pull ups!!

The muscle up was funny... Did 3 high pull ups (to my stomach), went down to rest for 20 mins or so, jumped back on the bar and did a full muscle up quite easily, took a break, did it again. Then before it was time to go I figured I may as well try a doulbe... and again, was easy enough. I'm a fan!!
