    4.30am: relive my youth by reading the latest Ross O'Carroll Kelly book
    5.30am: finally give up on sleep
    6am: yoga
    7am: smash squats and deads
    8.30am: chill in the pool
    9.15am: carb front load
    10am-6pm: work my ass off for #braingainz
    6.01pm: collapse in a heap after the jet lag punches me in the face

    Only got 10 of the 15 sets done, had to cut the assistance to 3 instead of 5, and only got 3 of 5 done for gunz too because I got stung for time

    Smashed the bench yesterday.

    No dips becaues I was wiped out.

    Supposed to OHP today, and only be a day behind, but I got the worst cramps of my life and work up at 3am with a chocolate laser that didn't go out until... well it still feels like I'm getting punched with low hooks to the stomach now @ 9.20pm KLIA time.

    It's 9.20pm in KLIA right now and I'm sitting in an exec lounge.

    My flight from Bali landed at 7.15pm, and I've another 2 and a bit hours to kill before my 12 hour flight to London, which arrives in at 5.35am normal time.

    Then I'm in London for the day... Out about 3pm and back to Dublin around 4.30pm.

    Hoping to get out to squat this evening so I only miss 2 days of A12 and can get back on track properly tomorrow.

    'Mare of a journey home, but on the plus side I'll get to hang out for the day with one of my best mates who moved to London at xmas.

    Didn't train last night. Worked instead.

    Back onto A12 at Week 4, Day 4 today. Will do day 3 - squats, toniht in flyefit.

    Had a very strong session this afternoon.

    ASC Week 4, Day 5

    Smashed the bench out first thing this morning before tutoring in elite.

    Apparently I could be looking at 120-130 for on the minute triples by the end of this. That'd be snazzy as fook.

    Squats were good - 150kg 6x8, 1x2 w/ 3 min recovery, and DL 150 6x6

    Hip felt a bit **** towards the end of th squats, but less **** than last time.

    Smashed todays shoulder / gunzz workout real hard.

    The 10 minute EMOM swings with 32kg going for 16 was not nice tho.

    A12, Week 5, Day 2 - smashed.

    Benching and pulldowns killed. Assistance chest destroyed. Dips pissed all over. And complex murdered.

    Such a good session that tomorrow can only be ****!

    12x 20s on 60s off intervals done on the C2.

    Was holding 1m24s splits for a lot of them, and hit > 110m for most.

    That's happy.

    I reckon I'd be stronger if I wasn't doing it, but that's not the goal of the program.

    So I guess I'd say it's working pretty well. I horsed around 37.5kg DBs yesterday on an incline for 37.5kg 4x10, 1x15 AFTER 95kg 15x6 bench and pulldowns.

    Do you have any plans to get on a competition platform this year?
    Very impressive work in here though all the same - that's a great 2k time you hit last month considering the lack of concept II work in here generally.

    Fleh.

    Too much time, effort and stress involved in getting ready for a comp for me at the moment man.

    Appreciate the words on the C2 time too - it was actually about 20s off my best too if I remember correctly. Will take a crack at another one in about 6 weeks and see what happens :)

    Missed Day 3 yesterday because of work stuff. Apparently I can't just do 2-3 hour days all the time. Will catch it this evening in a couple of hours.

    Overhead work today was awesome. The press was strong, and hit 149 outta 150 reps on the shoulder complex. Which I'm still p1ssed about.

    Continuning to lean up and see good progress there. These'll be the last shots I post until the "afters" are done.

    I've those exact poses taken on day 1 in that lighting, and fat facebook different lighting bloated like a pig photos too :)

    Jay was actually quite insistent I get legit before shots, just to shut up all the haters he's already got bashing the program.

    Good but tough bench session. 100kg fell strongly.

    Managed to incline DB bench 40k 4x10, 1x13, wit the DBs touching my chest on each set. And smashed BW+17.5kg for 10s on dips.

    Hotel Gym Workout...

    DB Complex:

    1 round EMOM, 3 mins:
    10x push ups
    10x renegade row
    10x sumo squats

    *1 minute rest*

    1 round, EMOM 3 mins:
    10x press
    10x BO DB Row
    10x Reverse Lunges

    *1 minute rest*

    1 round, EMOM 3 minutes:
    20x DB push press
    10x jump squats

    ...all done with 10kg DBs.

    Then;

    13x 20s on / 60s off intervals on a C2 Model B w/ PM4 that was still running like new. What a machine.

    Good military pressing day. Strong. Rotating DB press went to 27.5kg ad it was pretty brutal.

    Gunzz were ok.

    Had a great weekend with Sarah @ the idfpa single lifts. She did a 132.5kg squat and 140kg DL. Will write more about it some other time.

    Racing out to coach now.

    3% of my cals were carbs yesterday. I suffered today.

    Ended up hitting 105kg x6 EMOM 13minutes, and then finished off with a few broken sets for 87 outta a potential 90 reps.

    Smashed 5x10 w/ 20kg Dips, got to do chins, and beasted out 42.5kg incline DBs 4x10, 1x12.

    Good day. But tough.

    Spent about 40 minutes trying to get my hips set

    Did 3x10 HBBS @ 150kg and stopped cos my hip was starting to hurt

    Pulled 160kg 3x6 and stopped cos my hip was starting to hurt again

    Did about 1/2 the work I was supposed to, but more than I've done for the last few weeks so all is good.

    Bar speed on the squats and DLs was great in fairness.

    Managed 107.5kg 12 x6 EMOM +another 10 or so reps over the remaining 3 minutes. VERY tough.

    Beasted out some 45kg DBs for 2x10 on the inclines, and dipped 22.5kg 5x10 too, which was pretty sweet.

    Also accumulated 91 chins in the block.

    Good day.

    Galway tonight for a stag, back to Dublin for an engagement party tomorrow, then a couple of nights in Seafield with Sarah. Nice few days lined up :)

    What about your gains! Are you going to "take it handy" or go balls deep and get back on the wagon?

    Only had 2 servings of carbs today and very little fat, saving THOSE kcals for beer.

    Then I'm moving my Sunday cheat day to tomorrow so I can enjoy food.
