Cheryl Cole was reportedly left fuming when she discovered that her face had been used on a mail order bride website.
The Daily Star reports that pictures of the 'Promise This' singer appeared on the 'Russian Brides' site.
The website claims to be the number one site in the industry and states that it has 176,324 Eastern European women looking for marriage.
"She is one of the world’s most beautiful women and it’s not surprising people want to use her image to attract customers," a friend of the X Factor judge told the paper. "However she is extremely careful about any products she endorses - and this Russian bride agency is most certainly not one of them. It is clearly a deception and the plug needs to be pulled on it."
When contacted by the paper, the site's boss Irina Grebneva insisted that the images had been used "by mistake" and claimed that she had not heard of Cole. The pictures have now been removed.
Last year, it was revealed that an image of Girls Aloud was being used on a Russian escort agency's website.

As has been said several times on this thread, those Americans don't understand her, but I didn't realise that there are actually "strict U.S. TV regulations" covering this.

It is understood that executives at Fox TV have been wary of offering a place on the U.S. version of the hit talent show, despite her overwhelming success on the U.K. version, because of her strong Geordie accent.


Cheryl has always been fiercely proud of her gritty northern roots and regional accent, but if viewers in the U.S. can't understand what she's saying, the show will be in breach of strict U.S. TV regulations

I think it's BS to be honest. It's not that American's won't understand her but she is too inexperienced in America to be trusted with the responsibility of XF over there. In the UK she has struggled a lot (admitting she hadn't heard of one of Elton John's classic songs :eek:) but the UK media and public have a long relationship with her so allowances will be made. In America they don't know her and if she messes up it will make Simon look bad. American's won't take kindly to a 20 something girl from a band they've never heard of, judging their show and not knowing exactly what she's talking about.

I think Simon wants her on the show but Fox and other producers dont as she is not known in the US only maybe as Derek Hough's "girlfriend". If she isnt a judge on the show she will helping Simon with his category.

Cheryl Cole will return as a judge on the UK version of X Factor after landing a new deal, according to a report.
The Daily Mirror claims that Simon Cowell arranged a secret big-money contract for the Girls Aloud star after failing to secure her a role on the US version of the reality show.
"Cheryl is thrilled about the new deal. She thought her days on the UK X Factor were behind her but the money is too good to refuse," a source told the paper. "This is Simon's way of making it up to Cheryl for not landing her the US X Factor gig.
"She was convinced Simon had pulled all the strings to get her on the judging panel but it's been a disaster. Now Cheryl will make twice the money she was on last year."
The insider continued: "Simon has told her he's going to look after her and he has a lot of surprises in store for this year's show. He's going to shake things up dramatically and make some big changes. He wants the new format to be much edgier and Cheryl will play a major role in that.
"She's going to be returning with a bang and with Simon no longer appearing on the show he's banking on Cheryl to stir things up."
It had been claimed that network bosses were hesitant about signing Cole over concerns that she is not famous enough in the US and that her accent would cause problems.

From the beginning I suspected that it was merely a PR stunt all believed by the British and Irish public. America is a huge country with an endless level of talent. Looks will only get you so far and in America they have an abundance of good looking women but they also have abundance of good looking women with talent who have proven them self's in there chosen field where as Cheryl is just a one trick pony and a clothes horse.

Well done to her management for keeping the illusion up for so long but it had to end with the start of the American X-Factor starting soon.

The News of the World reports that despite recent rumours, the singer will become a judge on the US version of The X Factor and will use the show as a springboard for her American music career,

Cole is apparently keen to recreate the success enjoyed by Lopez since she launched new single 'On The Floor' on American Idol.

A source said: "A very detailed strategy to make sure Cheryl is a success is in place. Within a year she's expected to be one of the biggest names in America.

"Every major magazine and TV channel is desperate to be involved with her. They know she's going to become a major pop-culture phenomenon as soon as the deal is announced."

Cole is apparently staying at American Idol host Ryan Seacrest's LA mansion as she prepares for her judging role on the show. Seacrest is currently dating Derek Hough's sister.

The source added: "Who better to go to for tips on being a judge than Ryan? He's helped make American Idol a huge, huge show."

Cheryl Cole should wise up and have a bit of dignity. She has no self awareness at all in regards to her actual ability. She has very little talent, comes across as desperate and to be honest, she is a bit of a hypocrite. She said she would support the act which was Cher on the X factor and she said recently she hasn't even heard a word from Cheryl.

Who's going to get the coveted seat beside him? The Saula's won't be amused if Paula is not sitting next to Simon and will instantly hate Cheryl but if Cheryl isn't sitting next to Simon so he can pull her strings, how will she know how to act?
