Some more of EI-GCE ( Rescue 115 ) the Shannon based Sikorsky S61N that was involved in the apparent hoax call over Galway Bay last week, taken by my dad.

Nice pictures Dave. Hope they catch whoever is responsible for the hoax. What makes it worse is that she was diverted from another genuine search off Doolin.

I'm so envious of you Kol, getting all these great catches. Whyulittle, very nice pics, nice to see some of the older days of Irish air shows. Salthill was dead on Sunday, compared to the same day last year, when it was packed despite the weather! Never made it to Abbeyshrule.

I'll try and keep them unusual. I can't guarantee the quality of the shots though!

I remember that "Dustoff" at EIAB, i had one of their pantagon shaped coins ( still do ) that they gave us at S/hill and when at EIAB we went up to a crew chief and said "dustoff" and showed the coin and he went "damn i gotta buy you guys some drinks now i didnt pull my coin out before you!"


Suppose it helps that he didnt know we had a coin!

Is there no lettering on Air Corps craft?

It's Subang in Malaysia. As you can see we had plenty of runway to stop! We were well stopped by the fourth taxiway you can see in the photo.

Flew a Ryanair 737 into that Airport last nite, looked nothing like the real thing
