FS I picked mine up from opticswarehouse.co.uk , they had a sale on busnell products at the time. I think I saved £92 sterling with them. So its worth throwing a look at there page a few times a week to see if they have any offers on especially now with the euro been so strong against the pound.

I cant fault it IWM, it just feels lovely in the hand. I now its a plastic stock but to be honest it does not feel like it. The big test will be when i put a good few round down through it, I cant wait :D:D

I know you were after a sako but just a little heads up, the dealer I got it from said they got an e mail from ardee during the week stating that sako products were to rise over the near future. Not sure by how much but there would be an increase felt by all.

Interesting to hear. I'll probably go for the Tikka myself. Was just chancing my arm to see whether there was a Sako out there for similar-ish money, interesting to know about the Tikka synthetic stock anyway.

Nice one Manic! Hell that EOTech and magnifier must have set you back at least half the cost of the rifle itself

    Sweet set-up tho man

    A little under.

However, I'm taking them with me to Afghanistan, I figure I'm willing to spend a little money on giving me the best chance of coming home alive! Thus it's not actually an excess of money in my view.

The sights? I prefer the EOTech to the Aimpoint the Army issues. I know it's a Nissan vs Toyota debate, both are very good, both have their adherents. I happen to like the circle around the dot and the wider field of vision.

Thats a clean looking Browning;), is it a High power or a BAP or are they the same thing?
How do you find the Sig Manic? Is it a nine?

Same thing. The Irish military has this quaint habit of naming all its equipment after the manufacturer, not after what the manufacturer calls it. (Panhard, FN, Steyr, BAP, MOWAG...)

SIG's a .40S&W or 357SIG, depending on which barrel I drop into it. It's almost the same pistol as the SP2009 the French police use. For a polymer frame, it balances very well for me, and I think is much nicer to hold than a Glock. I don't believe I've ever had a failure to fire or failure to extract/eject on it, it seems to be made to the usual SIG quality, just a bit more cheaply due to less metal.

Great to see a fellow mick in CA Manic.
Great to see one interested in getting most semi-auto bang for buck and still stay cali compliant also!
I've been doing the same with ARs, AKs, FNs and VZs, getting off list receivers pinning the mags to 10 rounds and fixing in place, then building up said rifles, lots of fun!
good luck in the stan man!
